It has been anounced today (2nd July 2005) that Toymakers Takara Japanese owners of the Transfomers franchise bought Tatsunoko Productions the studio which produced popular animé series such as Gatchaman & Speed Racer. It is reported that this is a deliberat move to gain access to to its animated library and character copyrights. See more details here at TFormers.com
