Sweet, gonna go pick up Slumblebee for the wife tomorrow.
$20 NZ is generally about 10-12 US although the NZ dollar is unusally strong at the moment making it closer to $14US.

Same reason Optimus Prime is called "Softimus Prime". To appeal to parents that want to buy a stuffed cuddly something for an infant.
Here's the old trademarked names from a while back
HAS82479 TRANFORMERS PLUSH ASST 6-53569-23992-5 82199 TRA MOVIE PLUSH SOFTIMUS PRIME
6-53569-23990-12200 TRA MOVIE PLUSH SLUMBLEBEE 6-53569-23991-8
I for one think these things are a stroke of genius. They look good to boot.

I didn't know that they were given silly names like that. My bad.
Any shots of them in altmode? I'd like to see what they look like.
If I were trying to pick up a female transfan, I'd definitely buy her one of these. I hope they make a Grimlock too. Heh heh, I'd love a cuddly Grimlock. Ah, irony!
