Remember when there was that great news for Americans that they could preorder their MP Starscream for a mere 60$ US? Well now it's our turn to celebrate because I will detail how you can get your MP Starscream for only 62.97$ cdn (which is equal to 47.75$ US). This is just 2$ more than the upcoming Leader Starscream at Toysrus. Toysrus is currently having a sale on all Transformers above 19.99$, including MP Blue Streak (still not a great deal for him though). Rainchecks for all SKN codes are available upon request, which is what I did. However, we also happen to know the SKN for the upcoming MP Starscream (065129), so by presenting that SKN, I was able to get a raincheck for MP Starscream at this deal. Meaning that I can buy him in store within the next 3 months and get him for 62.97$ cdn, and you can as well (you can also buy him full price online and then get credited when presenting your raincheck and receipt in store). The proof is in the photo below, which also shows the other codes for various Combiner Wars and RID toys that are also on sale. Also, as I got this raincheck, I was told that MP Starscream would be coming out in Canada in late August/early September.

Just a heads up, but there is a chance it might not work. The SKU could still be a place holder until the actual item is in stock (at which point the SKU can change).

I've done the same thing on a number of figures before they came out (Devastator, Jetfire, ect) and each time with no luck.

I honestly wish you the best of luck with it, and if it works, then that's amazing but if it doesn't don't feel down in the dumps about it :-P

Meanwhile, no word on when the U.S. fans will be able to order more or at all, for the $60. I suppose Canadians deserve to have something this awesome happen.

Hey, I found an old news item: http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... ngs/32765/

In it, it describes the SKNs found on the TRU computer:

Firstly, Seibertron's very own welcometothedarksyde has reported the following two items on Toysrus computers with the following SKN numbers:

-MP Bluestreak- 228367
-MP Starscream- 065129

Bluesteak's has remained the same since. Meaning that if a deal like this happened before he came out and we used that SKN, it would have worked.

That gives me a bit of hope for Starscream then although that 0 at the begining does make this look like a placeholder. Time will tell.

Thanks man. While 62$ Canadian makes this Starscream much cheaper when looking at currency conversion, it must be remebered that Canadian paychecks are also in Canadian dollars and thus its not like we can afford more. What I mean to say is that economy wise, a canadian buying starscream for 62$ cdn is as big/small a purchase as an American buying it for 60$ US in the states. So I am glad we get a similar deal economy wise and arent killed on the exchange.

You know what f*#$ing sucks though?

The AUD and CAD are about on par compared to the USD, but TRU Aus will fully gouge out at least twice the USD price for MP Starscream.

I tried getting a Raincheck for Starscream at the LaSalle Toyrus store but the cashier wouldnt even hear about it. It was a flat and direct "No!". Apparently, they are aware of this maneuver to get a discount on this product even though it's not out yet.

I was quite pissed but couldn't do anything about it.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune UM, I would honestly try again, this time take it higher if they're still resistant. I got my SS raincheck today (solitary even, no other figures RC'd) with nary a word.

Also Will, I thought I'd come out of hiding to give you the dope crazy props you deserve for alerting the fandom to not only the raincheck method, but getting the word out on MP SS here. :BOWDOWN:

Such a cute meme. Thanks and I am glad to see you here for a bit, I hope all is well with you! Also, I am super glad you got that rain check. I went through these "hoops" since I am on a budget and every little bit helps and I am sure I am not the only fan in this situation, so I felt no reason to keep it to myself. TFs for ALL!
