BotCon 2010 Box Set Artwork revealed!

How big is the box in dimensions ??? Trying to decide if I need to bring check in luggage or not ???

So did I, as a comment to the "No BotCon Registration 5/17" topic.

What's a fan to do? Oh well...

I was very excited initially about a G2 set, but now I feel a little frustrated. There's only 1 figure in that set of 5 that is actually a G2 homage. Clench and Pyro/Spark are technically from G1 that ended up being carried over to G2 the following year. Both were also European exclusives which mean little to a large percentage of U.S. fans (who BotCon is primarily attended by). "Streetstar" is from the tail end of Japan's G1 series and was never in G2 packaging. Sky-Byte came about 5 (Car Robots) to 6 (RID) years after the end of G2. Gnaw shouldn't even be part of this year's exclusives. Hopefully the other convention exclusives will fit in more with this theme.

I hope the comic makes sense of all of this somehow. I get that it's called G2 Redux but this is taking the term "redux" quite literally.

I was really hoping for some Cyberjet homages, a black Sideswipe, purple Ramjet, blue or teal Grimlock and some of the other obvious repaints. Perhaps they'll do them as Club exclusives later on to tie into this set. One can only hope!

"Negative nancyness" aside, I do like Pyro/Spark and Clench (though I wish Pyro had gotten Prime's head), the artwork looks incredible and I love Breakdown. I'm looking forward to seeing what else they come out with.

Prooooobably going to be selling my set box. So, if you plan on getting a loose set and would be interested...

After seeing those pictures I'm left feeling like " that's it? "

It almost feels like going to one of those fancy resturants and getting a $200 dinner and when it comes out its this little round thing sitting in the middle of the plate

Box art looks pretty cool. But like what Chaoslock said, where in the world is a Robots in Disguise character going to fit into this set, set in the Generation 2 universe? Unless it has something to do with Dimension Hopping, which would most likely make sense with him being in the set.

Hey, no sweat! If you look at each of our three posts, they are only minutes apart....just in different corners of the forum! Just further proof that Seibertronians are ever watchful.

I'm not really impressed with the figures, but the neon colors are taking me right back to the totally awesome 90's. Radical!
