Because they would be boring that way?OptimalOptimus2 wrote:This figure is terribly bright and dangerously weird. Why must BotCon exclusives be so...abnormal?

Pete outright said that Stepper's paint scheme came from a reversal of the Primary/trim colors on the original. The reddish (orange? yeah...) flame decals on black, inverted to black flames on a reddish (orange?)
But your right, I do see Lugnutz, intentional or not.

1.) the Boss will most likely be based on something from Dark of the Moon with 62811 (June 28 2011, movie premier) and something else with 484 (4-84, 48-4, 4-8-4, or "DHD" even).
Anyone?
This still leads me to believe the "Boss" is going to be Mirage/Ligier
6/28/11 - DotM Movie
4-84 - Mirage was Autobot "#4" in the original 84 line up
I still haven't figured out what mold/color they would use. possibly they could go with his DotM "Dino" color scheme, in the Gen BB/Nightbeat mold?

But outside of that it's because it looks cool. It's a very Halloween-esque color scheme that makes him look evil in a fun way.
Nothing against Stepper, myself, but I do still kinda wish it had been Zoom-Zoom instead. The bo could have written him as a loose cannon by saying something like this:RiddlerJ wrote:If I do get SG Stepper, he's going to be Zoom Zoom.
