For all we know, Takara might come out before. I don need to wait, I can judge that Takara's looks amazing and will be getting that one instead.

Probably same here. Here's hoping I can preorder it in July.

Alpha Lion looks absolutely ridiculous... I'm sorry, I just can't get past it. It just does not look good. ... good thing the Robot Mode's really badass

Also, yes, Wolfwire is like the best thing ever

Hm. Need to see more of Wolfwire but that wolf form in the photo disappoints me so far (mainly the legs look a bit but may be just way it's posed). Still not bad though and I'd be open to finally getting a proper new Carnivac figure even if just repainted from that with a new head.

Highbrow looks good. About as good as Highbrow can look (he's always been a bit boring).

86 movie set looks half ok. Well, Arcee, Springer and Magnus. That Drift Blurr ain't a patch on the new figure, especially Takara's version. And we need a new Kup!

Scrounge looks decent and I love that they gave him an accurate head. I never did manage to find the Cosmos mold but as Scrounge I would like to get him. Is he to be available seperate or just part of a big Computron pack I don't really want?

Scrounge only comes with Computron.

Is it just me, or does Kup have a new face? Not a new head, just his face? He doesn't look as.... gummy as the last version.

I agree mostly. I am super happy however that this set is coming out even though I don't really like Blurr in that set. Kup is a good placeholder until a new one comes out; that Magnus' paint scheme looks a lot better than the CW version; I am super stoked about the Arcee since I thought I would never be able to get her; and even though I already own Springer, this one can replace that one, so I can do that SillySpringer custom I have been wanting to do. All in all, this is the best Platinum set to me that we have gotten so far, besides the "Year-of-the" sets. This set is kinda an answer to prayer for me especially regarding Kup and Arcee.

Looks the same except for the paint to me.

Please don't nuke my house for this, but I actually like the Hasbro version better. The only one I can side with the Takara one on is Nosecone.

How many times are they gonna use that mold?

First, Dead End. Now, Lightspeed.

It's like Alpha Bravo! :HEADHURTS:

At least it's better than the Breakdown mold like what they used in the UW version of Lightspeed.

Still prefer the UW version over the CW version.

(Mainly because of Strafe)

I'm exactly the same, takaras nosecone is awesome but, for me, hasbro is marvel cinematic universe to takara's dc cinematic universe, as in bright and colourful to dark and gritty (though that's where the similarities end)

Thing is though for Bruticus, I like the CW version better than the UW version BECAUSE the colors are less bright and cheery. Odd but, I guess I prefer my Decepticon combat vehicles to be more dull.

Also, I noticed that while UW Scattorshot has an almost completely white and dull nosecone, the CW version has a whole lot of paint detail on it with a variety of colors. Odd that Takara and Hasbro seemed to kinda switch places as far as that goes. I also noticed that, although Nosecone looks better on the UW version in his induvidual modes, the leg mode on UW Nosecone just looks ugly as shit. The CW Nosecone looks way better when combined.

I also found that the green on the CW version of Afterburner looks better to me than the blue windshield on the UW version. It just looks cooler. Also the painted windshield and toy accurate paint on the face on CW Strafe looks better to me also.

First thing that came to mind when I saw that space ship mode:

Maybe with some heavy retooling to add wings, wheels, and tracks?

Okay, the deco on that Springer is awesome. I love how all the yellow is replaced by tasteful gold-ish color.

Flashwave wrote:That last pair of slides? Is that the Megatron triple or Overlord? Tank jet, looks like they might combine, could Duocons be the Pt.3 of Prime Wars?

Pretty certain that's overlord. The way these presentations work is that hasbro knows its fans looking at it and giving the fans a teaser they would understand. I am pretty excited about this.
Mudwire wrote:I can't be the only one that thinks that tiny mech Apeface has is absolutely adorable.

I think he's awesome. Its not the toy everyone was thinking of getting and it pretty much seals the deal on us not getting another one, but the G1 still exists and this is a super cute new way to reintroduce and interesting character. I think he is really well done for that class and its probably one of the toys I am most excited for coming out of Botcon.

I agree about Alpha Trion, I too am dissapointed. Doesnt look much like a wolf or a ship. I will still get him though because that robot mode is amazing.

He has nothing to do with them, he's just a bonus to sway people into getting tha Hasbro version  And you can tell they cared more about him than the rest. More than Half the Technobots dont have new headsculpts but Scrounge does :BANG_HEAD:

It is way worse than Alpha Bravo.
steals_your_goats wrote:So if that Megatron Voyager rumor is true I guess we know Flywheels will be the repaint.

Maybe I missed something, are you referring to a part of the presentation? I dont see the ones you are referring to.
steals_your_goats wrote:This actually has me really nervous. Since his modes are the same as a titan master that they would be as a Voyager I wonder if they'll even bother to make him big. If they do though he'll have a mini me, which would be awesome.

I am pretty sure this is all we are getting. And that totally turns the rumour that we are getting bodies for the heads on its head.
Tsukaistarburst wrote:So we're not getting individual Computron releases either? Guess that's a real nice piece of news for the people who went ahead and bought Scattershot. Why would anybody even bother to buy this when the Takara version is better, then?

We knew Liokaiser and Computron would be giftsets, the listing of the giftset was the first evidence that he existed. And yeah, that is a slap in the face for the fans who bought scattershot as a single release. Its too bad they didnt reveal Liokaiser too, when he is on the box.
Dagon wrote:At least there was some interesting thing revealed today. The only thing I got excited about was the Computron reveal. It made me realize I made the right decision by preordering the Takara version.

I preordered it too. Tell me, why do you like that one more?
Wolfman Jake wrote:I don't know about Cheetor or Tigatron remolds/repaints, but I can say that Hasbro has knocked it out of the park with Weirdwolf (aka, "Wolfwire"). It's hard to see how Takara Tomy could really improve on that for their Legends line.

Its really interesting how Takara hasnt drastically improved any of the headmaster figures so far from what we have seen. Instead, they concentrated on the TR figures that werent headmasters before like Blur. I guess Hasbro did knock these original headmasters out of the park.
