Comparison Photos of RTS & Transformers United Grapple

Wow, tough call here. I was really hoping to see a chromed hook and the wrist paint apps on the United version. Still unsure which version to get considering I do prefer the orange/yellow head and painted faction symbols. They both look really good, if not a little bland, IMO.

Anyone else want some mac an cheese after first looking at United Grapple? I know I do..

Whatever happened to that "Takara does it better" nonsense we used to chat about in the olden days?

Ah well. It's in the past. All forgotten and lost now I'm sure.

/sarcasm. My own opinion is that rather than getting all bent about show accurate colors (especially when the difference is kinda small), I just pick whatever looks the best. And the extra black against the yellow looks better to me.

To each his own, I guess.

I think I'll be keeping the Hasbro version of this.

THere's just not enough to make me want to get the TT version.

Both figures look really well but the differences are too small to pull me away from the Hasbro version.

Cool. Surprised by the total lack of chrome on Takara's version, and pleasantly so that the shades of yellow are so similar. Are we sure this is a complete production figure? The general consensus seems to be that the differences are too minor to warrant the high cost of importing. That works for me as I prefer the black head of the Hasbro figure, although I would welcome the silver on the truck mode side panels.

I like the black head and the rubsign, but I'm picking up a slight difference in the shade used on the toy, and I think the Takara one looks slightly nicer, but definitely not so much so as to inspire me to import it.

Of course, I haven't even been able to find the Hasbro version so far, so...

I actually like the yellow head (and prefer faction symbols over rub signs), but if they're otherwise basically identical (paint apps & the overall shade of yellow... I thought United was going to be more orangey?), then I might cancel my United preorder and just stick with Hasbro.
