Generations Red Alert Released In Hong Kong!

Not exactly into Hailstorm, but I'm really digging Soundwave and Red Alert. WFC Soundwave makes a pretty good replacement for G1 Soundwave. Red Alert I'll get once Dirge is striking a stupid pose on my shelf along with Thrust, Acid Storm, and MP Skywarp.

I was really diggin Hailstorm, but after seeing how small he is, i may pass on him. I already have Henkei Red Alert so no need for hasbro version and still not impressed with WFC figures either, i just picked Prime over last weekend and really pissed about the QC issue he has, so i may pass on this line altogether, if not just getting Soundwave and Megatron. Just waiting for Terradive, Blurr and Dirge for now, which i think they should be released in September....right>

I dont why but when i see Hailstorm he reminds me of a Gorilla and i think he should be repainted into Beast Box with a new head! Just food for thought.

Is Red Alert a new mold?

I was seriously thinking of picking up Red Alert because I hadn't picked up Sideswipe or Sunstreaker when they were in stores. But this past weekend I was able to get both off of eBay. Now I'm not so sure I need a 3rd of the mold. But if he looks unique enough in the way Sideswipe and Sunstreaker do, I'll definitely give him a buy.

As for Soundwave and Hailstorm, I've been very pleased with the WFC figures, even though Prime suffers from some scale issues and QC issues, so I'll likely give Soundwave a purchase. Hailstorm looks very unique and I really like the mold. I hope to pick him up to go alongside Terradive.

Oh yeah! I can't wait for these guys (as well as Blurr and Darkmount). Er, and Megatron.

I'm most excited for Red Alert. I don't own any of the previous characters based on that mold and I think he's just got a wonderfully old-school aesthetic that I find totally rad!

Hot on the heels of Generations Red Alert and Soundwave being released in Asia, Allspark.com member Yovnocrats reports the finding of Generations Darkmount and Megatron at a Target. No additional details are available at this time.

Judging from the nonsense I went through looking for those new GI Joe figures, it could take a week or two for the new Transformers to make their way east to CT where I live. In any case, I can't wait!
