That's a pretty reasonable price for the coneheads!
On my end, I found a Blitzwing at a flea market and the black n white Commemmorative Astrotrain on Ebay.

Haha, thanks for the amazing reply, I love the enthusiasm.
Now I dont know if I should wait for a discount. You know its gonna happen, right, right, right?!?!?!? I mean, am I being foolish waiting for it, it happened with predaking and if I can save 20$ off this it would be great, but I dont know if I am tempting fate and being a douche.

OK OK.... now that that's out of my system, yes that price is outstanding, especially considering our $110 Insecticons (which are smaller figures even!). No point in waiting for a sale (for me anyways). And given that $85 CAD pricepoint, by all means he should be in the $70 USD range for y'all Americans (and as I recall it was projected higher no?).

I don't think it would be tempting fate. Remember there's a relatively small market for these things. So unless production numbers are really low (which at least we can see they aren't for the Insecticons), they'll likely be around long enough for a sale.william-james88 wrote:Haha, thanks for the amazing reply, I love the enthusiasm.

Twice in the listing they're described as drones, I wonder where they got that from?
"Will the Autobots stand a chance when these 3 dronebots are on patrol? There’s only one way to find out!"
"3 convert in 7 easy steps from double-blastered robot mode to fast-diving drone mode."
But wow, that's cheap.

Maybe it's a reference to the arc in IDW's transformers/former robots in disguise where Ramjet and thrust's corpses were used to make cone-head seeker drones.

Though from my understanding of the description on their box, Seekers seems to be dispensible foot soldiers and that the 3 were the toughest survivors of the bunch.

Also hope TT would also do a G1 Starscream or better yet, a TFC release of Starscream complete with robot fist and anime colors.

What a busy late night/early morning for news! Hasbro and Takara have been hitting us left and right with fantastic news and it's not even close to over because we have two new G1 reissue listings to get your blood pumpin', your wallet open and your significant others angry!
Up first, a gem we've covered before (we're not going to jump to the good stuff just yet, it's worth the wait!)
Platinum Edition Reissues of Blaster and Perceptor, plus a ton of awesome cassette bots and accessories! (AKA The Autobot Intel Ops Set)

Available for preorder right now on Seibertron.com sponsor TFSource's website for the asking price of $119.95 with a release date of July. (You can see the originals and their reissues in our galleries by clicking here for Blaster and here for Perceptor.)
And now, the BIG news...
Platinum Edition Decepticon City Trypticon! (Yes, you read that right!)
No images are available at the current time, other than the toy placeholder provided by TFSource.

The current pricing is $199.99 and his release date is also in July. This, coupled with the big news of SDCC Devastator, it's looking like late summer (July, specifically) is ramping up to be the hottest (as well as one of the most expensive!) seasons in Transformer collecting!
It's a great time to be a Transformers fan and collector, and we need to soak this in while we can because gems like this don't always come along and may not again in the future, so get those wallets ready!
Keep your optics tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest in news and updates, plus the best galleries around!

I bought the G1 Trypticon for $16 on eBay years ago. It didn't come with accessories, but I use it for display. Although this reissue is an excellent opportunity for collectors, I think $199 is too expensive. The profits they make are too outrageous, considering the production costs were probably $10.

I don't think I'll be buying Tripticon, but that Perceptor-Blaster duo will be awesome, especially at that relatively reasonable price.

Love the way Tripticon walks with a stomping motion. Always wanted one but I don't find myself overly excited by this.
Already have Blaster and Perceptor from previous reissues.

The key difference with this Perceptor is his microscope is supposed (key word: supposed) to function legitimately for the first time in the history of the figure. Those are apparently specimen plates that come with the set. It's awesome if true.

Bit of a tease in this age to have the characters on the box artwork in poses those toys can't even come close to replicating (Blaster's knee stands out a lot for that). Think I saw someone did a custom of G1 Blaster to have articulation like that and it improved the figure immensely.

So they packed in a number of accessories that aren't really needed, but no Rewind? Please tell me I just didn't see him, because this will be an easy pass if he's missing.
