iGear TF-001 Head Sculpt WIP image

It looks decent... but we said that about the last new head mold someone made, too. And the molds went south on them.

Though if this one holds up, it IS a good G1 likeness. Though personally I like the more stylized version that the CC set came with.

Well all I can say is it looks much better than the other upgrade head that was released a while back. You remember, the one The Joker carved the face on.

I don't even have my City Commander yet, but this does look pretty awesome. If it doesn't end up being expensive I may get it.

I purchased the other upgrade set. My head did have the joker smile, but I am told they will be sending me a replacement. I figured it would be worth it for the G1 gun and missile launchers. But, let me tell you, those turned out to be total CRAP as well. The plastic is very brittle and cheap. The gun broke the first time I tried to put it into Magnus' hand. The missile "fins" on the head of one of the red missiles broke after just handling it casually. The plastic for the guns and missles is totally crap. If you look closely, it has small bits and chunks of other colored plastic pieces and lint. Completely worthless.

I kind'a feel sorry for the seller. It sounds like he wants to do the right thing but completely blew it when he chose his supplier and failed to enforce any quality control.

If the quality of this set is good, then I will probably buy it. I actually like the original city commander head, but I am a sucker for anything that pays tribute to G1.

Agreed. This looks so much better than that other set, even if they're planning on replacing that first hideous head. I may cave and buy this if it's in the 35 dollar range.

This is a very nice piece for a very small market! I absolutely love G1 tribute, but the current City Commander head sculpt is spot on. It has that new edgey updated G1 style (Which can easily be called G3) If I had two CC sets I would pick this set up. Well I still might buy it for the shoulder rockets and Autoscout. Although the revised Autoscout from TFC's Gear of war version is shaping up quite well. I do have to give it up to these aftermarket companies for trying so hard on there product. Damn Good job!
