BWTF.com has cooked up several packaging images for all to see. They just happen to be for one of the new Transformers toy lines this year, the Power Core Combiners. We get to see the packaging images for three sets, Huffer with Caliburst, Searchlight with Backwind, and Smolder with Chopster. That also means we get biographies of the figures too! Huffer with Caliburst

With CALIBURST by his side, Huffer is just as inclined to grumble as he's ever been, but he's also faster, stronger, and smarter, which means the DECEPTICONS have a lot more to complain about than he does.

Searchlight with Backwind

SEARCHLIGHT is the most skilled search and rescue operative the AUTOBOTS have. His combination with BACKWIND makes him able to operate at full effectiveness for even longer, making him invaluable in recovery operations.

Smolder with Chopster

No one holds a grudge like SMOLDER. He plots elaborate revenge against his hundreds of enemies, and thanks to his combination with CHOPSTER, he's got the power to see each of them through.

I have an eternal love for mini-cons and I'm really digging these figures, but the biographies.. ugh, I cringe at the lack of anything really.

Oh well, bring it on.. my wallet's rested thanks to the utter debauchery that the ROTF toyline was for me.

You think those bios are bad Blurrz Wait for the european release. It will be something like Commander and minicon make a good team. see any Human Alliance figure for bad Bio's on european figures. Great now I'm angry. :-x

Hasbro do suck at bios lately. I can only assume it's either laziness or that market research has told them that kids aren't interested in reading about the characters personalities (or just aren't interested in reading, period) because I'm sure there are a lot of competent writers that would be happy to knock out profiles.

Ya know I was gonna stay away from the PCC's, but Huffer & Smolder aren't lookin' too bad. Might just have to limit myself to these 2, along with the Combaticons & Rallybots. It'll be an in-store decision. This is going to be an expensive summer. Better start mowing those lawns

Huffer and caliburst look pretty good compared to the others, at least caliburst has a decent alt mode.

Ugh, WTF us up with Huffer's face? It looks like the same head they used on scout Beachcomber. goofy goggle eyes and that almost looks like seaspray's scuba mask mouth.

PCC head molds have been pretty bad, IMHO.

I like the packaging, I like the toys. But as I mentioned in my podcast this week, GI Joe toys are all coming with updated filecards, why aren't Hasbro redoing Tech Specs? I think it's clear from this thread that people would like to see them again.

Wow, I just realized Huffer is a pretty great G1 Homage. I might pick him up just for that fact alone.

Searchlight look pretty great too. Dangit, I'm so back and forth on this line. I want to skip it but I don't know if I can. If they ever come out with some decent limbs, I think I'll be fully sold.

Uh oh, uh oh, Uh OH! Did anyone else notice the string wound ropes to hold the figures? This might be a permanent move to better Eco wires. Theyre so much easier to cut with Sckizzors.

But anyway liking Searchlight and Huffer. Also like Bombshock, Clutch and Mudslinger? too. So around 80 U.S dollars for 5 figures. Not so bad. Bring on the Mini Cons!

I'm in total agreement. I think this line got a little too gimmicky, and as a result the figures suffered. That being said, Huffer looks like he would fit in well with the Classics/Universe/Generations line and that's the reason I'll probably (still have to see the combined mode) pick him up.

This line is.....Ok, but i think i will pick up Huffer and Icepick (not listed) and thats it. dont really care for the see thru color minicons and this line makes me feel like you pick them up at your local Family dollar store or some places like that. I'll just wait for Hunt for the Decepticon and the Gen Line.

It says there "each Commander links up with Minicons and Drones (sold separately)". Does that mean we'll get Minicon and drone packs without commanders like During Armada? Would be pretty cool. I like this line.

It would be cool but I'm pretty sure the "sold separately" bit refers to the 5-packs.
