Aww. China. Not Vietnam. I was hoping for the later. I like how clean the ones that were made in Vietnam came to be.

The released Tomy version was made in China. No QC issues except for the wrong type of batteries inserted.
Btw, the Vietnam made MP-10 has quite a number of QC issues too. Remember the TF-Go! Jet whose legs were reversed? Those were made in Vietnam.
Also, the original Tomy release of Grimlock didn't have those stripes on his shoulder/biceps. Those look like the labels off the original G1 figure.
Either way, good for those who missed getting him a few years back.

I hate how there is never enough stock on these things and the price constantly ends up going up, wish I was one of those lucky fellows that could scoop multiple up at 60 bucks

Any idea when he is officially for sale in stores?
I know this toy was on some shelves at the end of May, but nothing since. My local TRU just gives me the "I don't know" run around. Any help is appreciated.

I work at TRU, and we really don't know when the manufacturer is going to send us stuff. We got a surprise box of 5 Grimlocks yesterday, and I'm pretty sure 4 of em were snagged by us, the employees. They are now $80, but with my discount and a 20% off coupon, I got mine for about $65. Call your local TRU's, if we got some, maybe they did too.
