hmm, doesn't scream Nemesis Prime to me. I see the fallen but not a Nemesis Prime. Think I'm going to pass on this one

I actually see this as my Hearts of Steel Optimus Prime. I picture the Steampunk'formers as the soot-stained monstrosities you'd expect of the Industrial Revolution, not the red, white, and blue comic book hero of the first release. It's a shame these are so pricey, but I've loved this sculpt for years and may consider this version.

I agree it looks more The Fallen than Nemesis. Those gold paints should've been teal. I'll pass on this one until they repaint it as Magnus - all white

depending on the release date and price, i might be getting this. Considering it actually looks like an actual train now when in alt mode.

Indeed! I don't know of any locomotives that early that would have had so much paint layered over the steel, cast-iron, and brass they were built from. Some of the later steam engines got pretty danged colorful, but the early work horses would have been predominately black.

If they had given him the Autobot blue eyes this might have been my first 3rd party TF ever. Although, come to think of it, the extra head this one comes with, is it a traditional blue & silver Optimus Prime head? And if so, can it easily be swapped to this figure?

Ah, well, I'll never be really happy with a trainformer until they make a Southern Pacific Daylight (engine and cars) that combines into a single bot. Oh yeah, and give it HO scale trucks and a small electric motor.

I would have bought this if it actually looked like Nemesis Prime...

I might be interested in buying the extra KM01 head if someone buys this and doesn't have the first one. For a reasonable price that is.
