It really kinda stinks that the first collaboration with ehobby gets a miscolored faction symbol on Blaster. Hope that gets fixed for the US release. I'm not holding my breath but I am crossing my fingers. His alt mode looks nice in those colors. Really wish they had used the Device and Music Label figures for this set. I don't want G1 figures in my Shattered Glass. It's like moving backwards. They're great toys for what they are. What they are is old though and quite overused at this point.

Plus, there's folks like SG Perceptor and SG Ravage whose designs were originally based on G1 toys (Magnificus and Glit, respectively).

So... if this is Shattered Glass, why does evil Autobot Blaster come with Slugfest, who is originally a Decepticon in the 'regular universe'? In the Shattered Glass Universe, that would make him Heroic Decepticon Slugfest, right?

He is heroic Decepticon Slugfest. They probably just shared three random pics to show off the final look of the products.

I don't think so. Check the alt mode picture again. That faction symbol is obviously red and not purple in any shade, contrast or no.

Purple is a difficult color to do properly, as it likes to shift to red in certain lighting, and on certain monitors. Let's just wait until the actual product comes out before drawing conclusions.

That's one way of looking at it, though I think that they wanted to use the G1 molds so they invented the fiction to support their use.

Considering SG Blaster appeared in fiction in his G1 body (his only body that wasn't a repaint, excluding Device Label) a few years before this set, I find that unlikely. More like a happy accident, like BotCon Soundwave

Soundwave, Ratbat, and Slugfest. Blaster, Rewind, and Ramhorn. And Solarbot.

It's a set of seven figures. They just took pics of these two just because. They all come together in one set, though.alldarker wrote:So... if this is Shattered Glass, why does evil Autobot Blaster come with Slugfest, who is originally a Decepticon in the 'regular universe'? Doh! I thought they were packed separately, like Encore 21 and Encore 22.
Now I remember it's all going to be one big set... Thanks for the clarification though!

This. Soundwave has switched bodies to support a modern figure (Botcon 2012 Soundwave) and/or suit a set of figures. They could have used a modern figure for whatever they wanted to do in fiction for Blaster too.

Except Soundwave had his Universe Ironhide body in fiction since 2009, a good 3 years before the toy was made. Happy accident, or deliberate future planning? You be the judge.
I'd still like to see how they're gonna explain him reverting to his original body though

And Blaster, Ratbat, and Slugfest have already been in their G1 body molds since their first appearances years ago.JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Flux Convoy wrote:Mkall wrote:Sabrblade wrote:They're in G1 bodies in the fiction, so that's what they went with for the toys.

Continually stating the obvious doesn't make you more correct. You know what I'm saying. I don't want or need G1 toys in my Shattered Glass and by extension, Classics collection. The fiction or toys could have been suited to other figures. I stated my opinion. You can't argue with an opinion. I mean you could but that's stupid. Why am I still repeating myself? For argument's sake, Device Label Blaster has been out for over two years. Not sure how we got to debating how long a mold has been out for a one off release that could have used anything or been any theme either. I'm not really clear what point was trying to be made.

Take it up with Fun Pub, not me. They're they ones who gave'em these bodies.Flux Convoy wrote:Continually stating the obvious doesn't make you more correct. You know what I'm saying. Here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to continue to voice my opinion on this website, in a civil tone. I didn't call you out of the woodwork to fact check me. I didn't call you out to debate my opinion. I didn't call you out, period. Take it up with Funpub? I guarantee you I have called them out blatantly in a public forum repeatedly. You know what that does? Absolutely nothing but fuel frustration. Why don't you mind your own business instead of trying to prove you're right?

I agree. That's not a monitor or contrast issue. It's nowhere near the colors they've used on his legs, which is much closer to the traditional Decepticon tone. There's daylight between the two shades they've used.

Still, I say it's meaningless. For all we know it's an error. I just checked his e-Hobby listing, and his premium sticker sheet is said to contain red Decepticon symbols and purple Autobot symbols among other stuff. Easy replacing them.

e-Hobby gives us a look a the sticker sheet that will be included with the upcoming Shattered Glass Soundwave vs. Blaster exclusive set that are releasing along with TFCC. The images below show some of their suggested applications to spruce up your figures. The stickers even include Heroic Soundwave's signature headband!

The stickers use a plastic backdrop just like e-HOBBY emblem stickers do, so they can fit with any color of Transformers.

It isn’t SG Soundwave without his headband! Because the sticker is folded and then connected together, it can be removed and attached over and over. Try it out on other Transformers, too!

With stickers based on the BotCon 2012 SG Soundwave, such as his guitar/rising sun insignia and Cold Slither band logo, you can decorate Soundwave however you like!

Applying SG Ratbat’s chest shields gives him an even more bat-like look!

Details like the restraining bolt applied by Cliffjumper as well as the Dinocon team label tie into the story of the Shattered Glass world.

SG Rewind’s leg and back stickers homage the G2 Gobots.

“VINNY’S MOTORS”…?

SG Ramhorn’s side sticker accents his gray details, giving him a more mechanical look.

Could this be a Beastformers crossover?! The Sunburst mark shines from Solarbot’s chest.

Who will be the villain of your SG army?!
