It doesn't even have it's own packaging? Just a baggie? Well that's lame.

I really don't get why they even made this (BESIDES "more toys = more $$$").

It's just so bizarre and random.

What, uppercase wasn't enough? Do I have to put the word in bold, italics, and underline it too?

Because?

There's just no better reason.

And how are they supposed to make decent money off of something they don't advertise to its target audience or sell via an outlet its target audience is known to shop from? This thing has no promotion or recognition outside of the adult collector market.

Maybe they just went ahead and assumed Prime will sell, no matter what? Ask Hasbro in a few months and I'm guessing they made a profit on this guy. I honestly believe no toy is produced for any other reason than money.

First and foremost, nothing wrong with making money. When it comes to anything business related, that should be the first objective to overcome and then everything else follows suit.

Second, if it had been any other character than Optimus Prime or Bumblebee (or any of the main Rescue Bots characters in this specific case), I would agree with your statement. However, in this case, all parents are searching for is "Rescue Bots" and the character name. This toy will come up, parents will see it's a Rescue Bots toy and an Optimus Prime toy for a reasonable price, and they'll buy it ... especially at Christmas time.

Even though I've had the Seibertron.com Store running for 6 years now, I'm still amazed and continue to under estimate how many Optimus Prime and Bumblebee toys my store sells. This is in spite of the collector in me who continues to think that Hasbro makes too many of both of those characters. Yet, I look at my store's sales records and it seems that I don't keep enough Bumblebees and Optimus Primes in stock, especially at Christmas time.

As far as I'm concerned, that's the source of its appeal.

I'm tempted to get her just because she's voiced by Alex Kingston.

'Kay. Just checking since I remember some (but not all) reports from Toy Fair that claimed the blue Blurr was named "Mirage", but never saw any official confirmation about that.

I'm going with what Seibertron himself told me to put in, so it would seem that there is no Mirage here. Wonder where that came from?

Probably some unawares at the event who saw the blue F-1 racer TF and leaped to their own conclusions.
