New Human Alliance Images- Epps / Sideswipe, and Mikaela / Skids / Arcee

I'm skipping all the regular line figures and just getting these.

Arcee is just plain fugly no matter how accurate she is (in bot mode anyway).

For the people who make GIJoe, you'd think Hasbro could make a decent looking Human toy to accompany their Transformers.

Sideswipe is lookin' kinda fat there...

Cookieswipe or Burgerswipe maybe more appropriate.

I believe is the back pack thing the make it look fat... Hopefully there is someway to rearrange it.

I love these HA, but why does Sideswipe look so out of proportion?

Sadly, Sideswipe seems to be the only one with a SENSIBLE place for a human to be sitting. On his shoulders, with guns to blow things up while he's speeding around slicing and dicing the hell out of them.

Human Alliance in general seems to be a good idea .... but the follow thru keeps falling short. Most of the figures are good, but there's not much human in the HA because they look like second thought tag-on.

Alright, Alright.. let's keep it clean people, remember we got kiddies who browse the forums..from 11 year olds on up..(not my kids, I wouldn't trust them around you bunch, LOL Might scar them for life!)

I think that the Skids looks good, movie accurate, and the Arcee is OK.. the Sideswipe, regardless of being a bit chunky, is still cool.

but does anyone notice how the Skids figure went from a metallic minty green to a base plant leaf green in the final pic??

Well, Sideswipe still looks rather chubby but he's got quite a nice paint job and extra details that the better-proportioned deluxe version lacks and the shoulder-cannons are the deal-makers for me. Skids should have his door-wings rotated out of sight (he makes a poor Bumblebee imitator) but is otherwise quite nice. Chromia-gone-red looks crappy, but you have to consider how big the human alliance figures are, making her possibly Micromasters or Minicon-sized so I won't mind the skewed robot mode.

It's simple, really (at least this is how I think it gets done in the most logical manner);

Step 1: Prototype of highest quality is selected.
Step 2: Hasbro gets an employee to painstakingly paint prototype with all sorts of high-quality paint.
Step 3: Painted prototype is posed in white backdrop and photos taken.
Step 4: Behoooold, the magic of photoshop! Now with extra shinyness!

Result: Super-shiny and extra pretty stock photographs that do a poor job at depicting the actual toy shown which may even have gimmicks removed to cost-cut, damn the 'product may vary from image' clause.

Anyway, I like Skids, but Arcee is crap, and Sideswipe looks like his Powerbot figure.
