I think my US Sideswipe will be getting a ROTF Swerve head
and the Takara version will be taking the primary position
on the shelf.

Times like these I wish I lived in Japan. Seaspray would be so mine, and I might even pick up Sideswipe too. Looks really good without the red.

Hasbro Seaspray looks a lot better. Takara's looks more like a cheap knock off.

Hasbro's Sideswipe looks far, far better than the Takara one. I've been really happy with the Hasbro one since I bought it a month back, and I love the red deco on it. The silver on on the wheels is the only bit where the Takara one is better but I've already painted the wheels on mine (and the guns to look metal). The Takara one STILL fails to paint the red 'lights' on the back of the car that breaks up the silver chest nicely (again which I added to mine). The only thing that bugs me about this mold is how small it is. Seems sub-deluxe. Anyways yeah Hasbro wins on this one again.

Breacher looks barely any different to really care either way.

Personally, I don't like Seaspray's design. It's not ugly, I just think it doesn't follow the movies aesthetic.

On the other side of the spectrum, Takara's Sidearm Sideswipe is terrific ! I will get it as soon as it is available on European web retailers. Hasbro's silver & red color scheme is of such bad taste ! I dislike so much Hasbro's version that I had previously decided to discard the Sidearm mold from my collection. Everything is different now.

It is not the 1st time Hasbro disappoints me with the color schemes they choose (in comparison to Takara). Leader class Jetfire is another example: Hasbro chose blue & gray for Jetfire's body, while Takara chose black and metallic dark brown (much more movie accurate).

Breacher's the only one I want...maybe SideSwipe to make into SunStreaker, but mainly, I want to change Breacher's head and make it a movie Roller...
