Especially considering how simple they would have been to approximate; Did they even do a legion class for that line?
*edit, if I remember correctly they were too busy (not) selling the fast-action bullsh!t to put effort into actual transformers.

The headsculpts look fantastic. Particularly enjoying the ones on Grimlock and Slag. Dunno what it is about them, they just work for me.

They did make Legion Class figures but they were all repaints:

I was looking forward to this set but Snarl being all silver where he should be gold kinda kills my enthusiasm as he was the first Dinobot I ever owned

Where exactly are you going to be able to buy these? Doesn't look like the kind of thing my local Toys R Us would get in.
Are they much different to the SDCC set, colour wise etc?

It should be available at TRU, I dont see why it wouldnt. Afterall, TRU did have this set:

Were the Platinums all going to be Target exclusives? Wait, the Insecticons were Kmart exclusives, weren't they. Hrm... 
Well, in the states, anyway. Maybe it was just the Coneheads and Trypticon that were Target exclusives. Sorry, this travel weary dude needs more sleep... Or coffee...

The heads look great. Definitely getting an IDW vibe... if only Strafe had molded goggles, the illusion would be (mostly) complete.

Thanks, that's pretty much how I remember it. Seems like since MP Skywarp (Walmart Exclusive), the MPs have all been Toys R Us exclusives, unless I am missing something. I think that's why I wasn't thinking of the MPs with the Dinobot exclusives. But, no word on who is going to have the Dinobots, eh?

Probably Walmart. They sold Predaking and the two pack flip and change AOE bundle that were exclusive to chains we dont have, and they also have the seekers.
