Remember that UM-03 Ultra Magnus prototype we saw a while ago? Well, it is now all fleshed out and colored up! Thanks to The TFSource Facebook Page we now have 2 colored images of the new Magnus, who is a beautiful looking statue that has the UM-01 Optimus Prime inner robot colored white like the original Magnus that also has the ability to shed some skin so you can take a look at the insides of the robot. The Magnus armor is all attachable and can be placed overtop the inner robot, just like his G1 toy. Also included are 2 new photos of the Battle damaged UM-01 Prime. Check out the images and let us know what you think in the comments section. And as always stay tuned to Seibertron.com for all your latest Transformers News and Galleries!

Action Toys has updated their Facebook page with new images of the upcoming Unimetal Ultra Magnus. Ultra Magnus consists of a white inner robot who looks just like Optimus Prime (as is custom with Magnus) who can also open up and show off some robot skeleton, as well as the Magnus armor, which clips on over the white Prime. Check out the stock images below.

a lot of money for a statue

Statues are a lot of money, or at least good ones are. They generally have to be completely painted from head to toe, and they take a lot of effort to sculpt/design. And that's not even taking into account the cost of producing the molds.

This isn't a statue, Ultimetal Transformers are giant, light up, metal, and super expensive action figures with lots of articulation.
Here's Optimus with MP-01 and MP-10.

And articulation.

I consider any Transformers products that are incapable of transforming as rather pointless, since they take away the most unique, defining characteristics of what it means to be a Transformer in the first place. While this Ultra Magnus is a beautiful looking representation of his robot mode, I could never add it to my collection knowing it lacks an equally beautiful alt mode. The dumb irony of this is that when I display my own Transformers, I generally change modes on them only once then leave them on the shelf in that preferred mode... So they may as well be statues anyway lol.

That's an oxymoron. By its very nature a statue is inarticulated.

Seibertronians, xRotorstormx has shared with us some more photos from Superfest Japan after sending us some of the upcoming LG-EX Convobat. This time around they feature Ultimetal Ultra Magnus and his various accessories.
These include a Rocket Launcher/large gun, an Optimus Prime-style Ion Blaster, and a Matrix of Leadership very similar to the one that came with MP-10, perhaps just on a bigger scale.
The photos of the giant figure can be seen below. Take a look then tell us: Do you think the figure is worth the equally-sized price tag? Will you be passing on it? Please tell us below!
