Couple of quick questions from someone who has never been to a BotCon:
- Are the BotCon comics all in the same continuity, or is each year standalone?
- Is it the same continuity as the 3H BotCon comics
- Have the BotCon comics ever been collected in a trade format either in print or digitally?

In short, not all of the BotCon comics are part of the same continuity. Some are, and some aren't. See the list in the first post to see which ones belong to which continuity.
For the third question, the BotCon comics themselves have not been collected in trade format, but several of the TCC magazine comics have. As far as digital releases go, none of the BotCon comics have been released digitally, but nearly all of the TCC text stories and a few non-BotCon comics have.

Updated the list again, and overhauled it to not only break down the giant Fun Pub section by year, but to also specify the kind of medium each piece of fiction is.

Makes sense to up the back cover stuff to three since David Willis is apparently no longer doing Recordicons.

Was there some announcement that Recordicons would be ending soon?
Also, this isn't back cover stuff. This is like the Tornado Facebook from last year that contained text stories leading up to that year's BotCon comic. These three will likely do the same for this year's comic.

So how much of this is actually going to matter? Like is this ever going to be picked up again, or is this going to supplement this years story, rather than complement it; like tornadoes blog, where it gave character information that should've been in the comic rather than a peripheral supplement.

Via the official BotCon Twitter account, we get another preview at some of their comics fiction for this year's Cybertron Most Wanted cast of characters - specifically, the page shows a little insight into the role and past of the Thief, Packrat (with art, writing and everything else by Jesse Wittenrich).
