Though it does look Megatron-y, it also kinda reminds me of Browning.

Revoltech was a poor choice for boxy robots from the start.
I see it too, but Browning has more of a rumble/frenzy type head, where the silhouette here has the unmistakable bucket head.
It also has an incredibly thin waist and legs...

His legs and waist seem very small.

The figures in this line will probably be of the non-transforming variety, but highly detailed and articulated. We'll be sure to keep an optic on it!

Yeah, that head is definitely Megatron, but those shoulders... it's almost like a hybrid between the two.Shadowstream wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Though it does look Megatron-y, it also kinda reminds me of Browning.

Interesting to see what develops.
Although, as stated above, hopefully not just an updated Revoltech concept.

Things was sounding good until I read the words non transforming, meh
. A transforming tank mp Megatron would be a Game Changer.

Although it's probably not even TF related, am I the only one more perplexed by what the silhouette on the left is doing? Playing a half-assembled assault rifle like a bassoon while carrying a bow with her other hand? Or does she have THREE arms?
(EDIT: I see that she has just two arms and a quiver now. Still confused about her entire arsenal, though.)
Maybe the figures are commemorating the history of Microman for its Fabulous 40th anniversary, and the one on the right is a generic amalgam of all the Gun-Robos, with elements of Magnum Robo as well? Or with swappable parts to create any Gun-Robo?

well.. to someone who is looking at it logically.. you can see the two arms.. one arm holding a bow, one arm holding a dagger.. and a rifle strapped to her back.. hence part of the strap that protrudes from under her armpit between her torso and arm.. but hey, see it how you want.

We have some new info on that mysterious Megatron silhouette that appeared on the Takara Tomy Arts page late last month, apparently it's Mega Drive Megatron! A joint venture between Takara Tomy and Sega, which appears to be a Megatron that can transform into a Sega Genesis console! Check out the images from Wonderfest below.

Gotta say, that's pretty hilarious (and out of left field).
Also, what's the blue fellow on the left?

Function: Making TFs with cassette alts look less like obsolete technology by comparison. Way to take one for the greater good, Segatron!
So will all of his gun extensions be reinterpreted as Genesis add-ons, like Sega CD and the 32X thing?
Sorry if those aren't the right names, but I was too firmly on Nintendo's side in the early '90s console wars to care. No matter how great Sonic's cartoons were, I could only play any of those games for a minute before facing the inescapable question:
Besides running so fast that I'll never react in time to avoid hitting anything, what does he...y'know...DO? A single environment where I can take my time to leave scorched earth is worth a thousand obstacle courses in my book. Have they still never released Game Boy Mega Man 1-5 on a higher system?
Still, I should read Sonic's comics someday, out of respect for Manny Galan. Not sarcasm, I'm serious.
Back on topic...he does look beautiful in robot mode, but am I the only one who'd be more interested in a series of Megatrons that turn into specific light-guns for classic systems?

Now, if this thing actually is a functioning SEGA Genesis, like the Music Label Soundwave that was a functioning MP3 player, then it would basically be an instant buy for me. I mean, this is awesome. No doubt about it.

Replace the fusion cannon and lose the "16 bit" and this will make a good classics megatron, plus I would like to see a megaplex and browning
