And we have more Takara Tomy Transformers Masterpiece news this early morning, too! Thanks to fellow Seibertron.com user xMXUx, and the Cybergeeks Alliance Facebook page, another scan of the possibly the same magazine as this one has appeared, showing off one of MP-22 Ultra Magnus' features: the cab can separate from the trailer, but it is not necessarily a robot by itself. Check out the image below, and let us know if you have a translation handy!

Seriously, if it doesn't form a robot itself, I will most likely ragequit. If it isn't add-on armor, to me, it won't be worth the price...

So the cab can detach just for the sake of standard vehicle functionality, but is otherwise pointless since it doesn't turn into a white inner robot form.

Not pointless. It still transforms into the core of the robot mode.

You see that big hexagonal piece that forms the cab's roof? That's his butt flap in robot mode:

Looks to me like the cab transforms into the torso (+head) while the trailer forms the rest of his body.

Detachable bot is detachable.

They said that it would be separate from the armor a looooooooooong time ago. Not sure how this is "new" news...

The image itself is what's new.

But it's still not gonna form its own separate robot mode.

sure id like a white prime with armor. but vehicle mode is perfect. robot mode is perfect. thats twice times perfect. ill buy this twice times perfect ultra magnus with a smile on my face :grin:

Seriously. I don't get why people want a white Optimus with armor. I think that is crap. It made sense to do that for G1 figures, but today? I want a fully transformable truck and trailer. It's why I got Citizen Stack and looks like I'll be getting this guy now. If it was a white Optimus, I would easily pass.

I still don't see how that's not pointless, a detachable cab has no purpose when it seemingly doesn't even need to separate for the transformation, so it just comes off for the sake of emulating a vehicle function, and giving false hope to the sense that this Magnus is a white Prime in armor.

I would love this MP Ultra Magnus to be a seperate white MP10 with the trailer that wraps around as this would give this MP the additional playability of a; White bot Magnus, b;Super mode/Ultra Magnus, c; Car transporter mode.
