Seibertronians: thanks to Twitter User @Nakigao_san we now have a better image of Unite Warriors Blastoff! This is a new mold, and features an interesting transformation where the combiner peg ends up on his back. Check out the image mirrored below, and sound off in the comments section on how you feel about this new mold Takara has created.

Just tossing in my 2 cents now: this looks aweful. I admire what they attempted to do, but it does not work for me in the slightest. Just not right to me :BOT:

Sorry for filling up the comment section with my comments but I realized that my monitor's screen was a little stretched and now that I fixed that I take my comment back Blastoff's chest and feet aren't as large as I thought.

So sorry for any comments about the Blastoff mold.

Still don't think it's leagues above Hasbro's version but it's a nice alternative.

They didn't carry over the shuttle nose-to-hands thing that made him so different for me - that's what made blast-off blast-off; without it, he looks like a cartoony aerialbot wannabe :(

But I will get any hasbro release of it, I just won't buy the UW set for it >:oP

One bit thing for me is that his arms, all of them, are still just plopped on the side of the shuttle. All that beef, and they put it in the chest and lower legs yet can't hide the arms? I feel that is a let down :BOT:

Looking at it closer, it really just needs bulkier arms.

Well, based on his legs, I'd imagine he uses the aerialbot transformation, so where would they put the arms... if they had kept the toys thing of having them become the cockpit, or allowed them to fold under the cockpit kibble, it'd have worked

Oh dear... the chest and shins/feet are several sizes too big for the rest of him.

Speaking of Aerialbots Blastoff kinda looks like they just took the base Aerialbot design and flipped it around.

Obviously not the actual case but it kinda looks like it.

He seems to keep up an aerielbot skeleton, just heavily reworked. And I think they could have done the nose up so it did turn into the arms, with the shoulder locations and all :BOT:

I like it. Blast Off will be my favorite. Cartoonish aesthetics are what I prefer. :CON:

Putting my input here. that thing is butt ugly. Classics Astrotrain would have been a better retool for B.O. than that ugly piece of junk. might get Hasbro B.O. instead once the Nebraska Stores get the Bruticus/ Computron wave in since the Walmart stores just stocked up on Magnus and shelf warming RID2015 one steps . It's more military accurate as a harrier jet than a triple changer wannabe.

Well the same could be said for UW bigroove and offroad, but I agree, they could've had some shenanigans where his arms became part of the cockpit or something >:oP

I meant where the jet kibble is usually on the back and the combiner peg is the chest on the Aerialbots it's flipped around on Blastoff.

He was responding to my comment about how the arms could have been better incorporated into the nose of the shuttle, and was comparing that same sort of arms could maybe have gone elsewhere comparison with those guys, who had large sections :BOT:

Well, I was trying to respond to both, but yes, I agree ;)

I gotta be honest, I like him a lot. His chest is a bit big and the arms outside the shuttle aren't great, but I love the rocket feet and his head sculpt. The head was the main thing that made me dislike the Hasbro version.

Yeah, if TT were reeeaally savvy, they'd make a bunch of extra blast-off heads and sell them to us ;)

I'm in the same boat with you. Reading all of these negative comments about him makes me feel like I'm in an episode of the Twilight Zone. This version of Blast Off looks as good (or bad, depending on your viewpoint) as the rest of the Combiner Wars deluxes do.

Something is off about the head sculpt to me though, but it's much closer to the original and is leaps and bounds better than the Slingshot repaint we got from Hasbro. I feel like they generalized his features, I wonder if this head mold will be used for another upcoming figure (maybe Killbison or someone).

It'll be interesting to see how this mold gets reused upteenmillion times over the next year or two.

I dunno, something about it just seems kinda anti-climactic, it doesn't really look like a lot of thought was put into designing it, but it seems pretty cartoon accurate, so there's that >:oP
