With movies comes merchandise, and the latest Transformers brand product to be released by Takara will be Dark Of The Moon keychains. Held by blue string are gold Autobots; Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Ratchet and Ironhide. On the other side, we've got red string and silver Decepticons; Megatron, Starscream, Blackout/Grindor, and Brawl. Check out the promotional image below!

It even looks like they transform! OHYEAH! I want these. Badly. Must. Get. Them.

But alas! I will probably not have anything Takara. Although spending money on Takara stuff will help on the earthquake...

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but these a just the same Gachapon set released to tie in with the first movie but with strings slapped on the top rather than bases. They don't transform and they're based mostly on Fast Action Battler toys.

These aren't key chains; they're cell phone straps.

Yeah, keychains usually have chains attached. Hence the name.

And they definitely don't transform, despite their name.

Great idea, Hasbro. Now can we get this over with so we can continue the Classics lines? Thanks.

Really? You must be seeing something the rest of us aren't. The amount of detail they appear to have, combined with the lack of any pictures showing them in alt modes, suggests they are non-transforming figurines.
