These aren't statues, they're highly poseable diecast figures, similarly to their Iron Man figures.

Why? Prime and Bee had really good versions of these designs as figures. Particularly the japanese Armor Knight Prime. Sure these get to pack in more accuracy for being large, expensive, non-transforming figures but Hasbro and Takara did really well with the toy versions too (I customised my Deluxe Bee to add some extra paintwork and such where I felt it was needed but that's expected with toys)

Way out of my league, but for a 50% diecast, fully painted & articulated 15 inch figure, $400 is "man, I thought it'd cost way more" cheap.

We've received news via a toy blog of a slew of in-hand images for Comicave Studio's Optimus Prime figure! The figure is 1/22 scale, very film-accurate in sculpt and paintwork, and features a 50% die-cast metal construction, LED-lighted eyes, as well as various accessories and swappable hands. Retail price is about $400. Check out the images mirrored below, and the rest that are available on the blog itself!
