Toy Images of Toy R Us Japan - Animated Exclusive Clear Red Optimus Prime

Anyone noticing a pattern here? I mean, the Japanese ALWAYS have clear everything, from clear Wiis to clear bras... Ha, clear bras... Anyway, yeah, leave it to the Japanese have to make everything clear just because it's fancy. Why can't Hasbro have clear stuff?

I think using clear plastic is great when there's a good reason for it. Mirage, Starscream as a ghost, Megatron getting reformatted into Galvatron (that's a repaint that both Hasbro and Takara seem to have not realised they could do...purple/pink Unicron Scanning Megatron), the Spychangers, Skywarp, plenty more I suppose, but then there are those which just seem random, and yeah, it does lose some of the details.
Not that they don't often look pretty cool. Is there an Animated guy who does holograms like Hound did in G1? I suppose this could be a version of one of them.
