Posted by LOST Cybertronian Sep 3, 2013 at 6:46pm CDT 41,721 views
Paramount sent us an email letting us know that Yahoo Movies has the exclusive reveal which gives us our first glimpse of the teaser poster for Transformers 4. Not only that, but the poster confirms the subtitle of the new movie. We reported yesterday, that according to documents filed with the United States Patent and Trademark office that "Age of Extinction" was most likely the name of the new movie and now this teaser poster confirms it. The first poster is the U.K. version and the second is the U.S. version.

Maybe it's the UK date. The website at the bottom of the poster says ".UK."

I guess, that would mean the UK gets the movie 2 weeks later...

I know I'm just setting myself up for disappointment but I'm starting to get excited about this movie, besides the stupid new alt mode for Optimus. If the movie is released next year, when is the next toy show so they can promote their products? They need to release images of them. The next Botcon will be in June, the same month as the movie release.

Considering how the last line went do you really want to get excited for them already? They'll likely have giant weapons to offset their smaller size, get cancelled before the best characters are made, and finish out in Asia.

Then again the bar was set pretty low last time. Only way they could do worse is by supersizing some Cyberverse figures like they're doing with Beast Hunters.

If it's anything like Dark of the Moon or Beast Hunters (the toylines, I mean), then I'm just straight-up passing and making Generations my priority next year. I'm getting really weary of the MechTech gimmicks, overly worshiping Bumblebee, the nasty decos, and the crappy transformations Hasbro's been getting away with for the past couple of years. >:oP

I know what you mean. I only bought the Legend class toys from DOTM as nothing larger interested me in any way.

Definitely a desert/fossil vibe from that poster. Very Dinobot appropriate. As for the machine gun vehicle, maybe the same stolen cybertronian patrol ship angle from DOTM.

I know this is a lot based on just a teaser poster, but I kinda have to jump to some conclusions to say... anything really, beyond "nice CGI there on that poster":

- I really hope we don't get yet another desert battle. Both the first movie and RotF each had one, more than enough. (Same goes for big city battles; first movie and DotM both had one, don't need a third)

- Can't help but think it'll be yet another "Cybertronians were here BEFORE!" reveal, which is tiring at this point. Specifically, seems like it'll be "Transformers were responsible for the dinosaur extinction, and Dinobots are survivors from that cataclysm", which is pretty cliché.

Oh well, robot dinosaurs! I'm sure I'll be getting some toys of them. As long as it's more than just yet another Grimlock. 'Course, given Movieverse's track record, Grimmy should stand out from the others. Still, Snarl and Sludge need some love, too!

You know, I thought it was weird at first, but I really like the titles they're making for these movies. They're like the titles to metal albums or something. :CON: :CON:
