Well I wasn't to thrilled about the name of the movie, but this teaser does bring me a little hope. I look forward to the first non teaser trailer.

It's not a secret now. Either that's Sentinal Prime, Vector Prime or Alpha Trion. I'm hoping for Alpha Trion. Also hoping for the Quintsons or maybe even for Galvetron, Cyclonus & the Sweeps. Ooohh, maybe Hot Rod, Kup and Ultra Magnus. This time with out killing a bunch of Autobots in the first 15 minutes of the movie to sell newer toys. Ahhh wishful thinking.

Has anyone thought about Scourge? He certainly has the head sculpt. I can't assume that he's an Autobot because he doesn't have blue eyes. If you notice, he has a reddish tint to his eyes.

It is not Scourge...it is an Autobot. The red tint may be due that his optics are offline in the picture. A second later, they turn blue.

As far as this orange guy waking up and the whole menacing "portent of doom"...all that means is that Bay's done his job. Just like the Mars Rover clip from the first movie. Made to look all important in the previews but in the end it was nothing more than a 15 second snippet on Banachecks laptop for the Sec. of Def. to view. Not exactly a climactic plot point, was it? But hey, it sure as hell sucked in the Trans-Fans attention when it first came out. I have no intentions of letting my imagination linger any further on what the bot in the clip is because I have better things to do than let Mikey Bay and his crew mind-**** me for even one second. I would advise everyone else to take a similar approach. You all will be a lot happier in the long run. I've seen how a lot of you fans handle disappointment and all I can say is, damn, it ain't pretty!

Some of you seem to be forgetting that all the Primes are dead except for Optimus, this means Optimus's father is dead too.

Why is everyone coming up with such silly guesses?? I mean, c'mon guys...LOOK AT HIM. I think it's pretty damn obvious that he's a Prime! And Cascadia's post with the Prime Cybertronian symbol pretty much confirms that anyway...
So no Wreck-Gar, no Scourge, no Kup, no Prowl...and certainly no damn Unicron (that's just plain stupid, pointless and too much wishful thinking, sorry!).
A few of you mentioned that Optimus was the last of the Primes...but:
A: What if it was only BELIEVED that Optimus was the last? Maybe there's a whole new story behind this orange Prime's existence which will be unravelled in the movie...
B: T-Macksimus made a good point in his last post, where he says that this specific short orange Prime scene probably means JACK-ALL and probably won't even play a major roll in the movie...just like the Mars Rover clip in the first Transformers 1 teaser.
See, this is exactly what Michael Bay WANTS us to do - speculate, discuss and hype ourselves and eachother up until the movies actual release. It's a genius marketing and promotion strategy that most definitely works, by the looks of it...looool...

THIS. I uploaded the trailer, and every one sems to think it's Alpha Trion or Unicron. How in f*ks name could that be Unicron? In all honesty, I would love to see a live action Unicron, but just...no. That's not him, its stupid! The only thing that resembles Alpha Trion is those spikes on his head, and his broad shoulders. Everything else resembles Sentinal Prime. He is definately a Prime. He has the same nose as Optimus, he has the same antene as Optimus and everything. IT IS A PRIME BY DAMNIT!!!

What if he is a good guy with a dark side that shows? Kinda like Two-Face in Batman? Maybe its a TF completely unknown to us all. Like Michael Bay did with that Mountain Dew TF in the first movie.

Not only that, this is the entertainment industry, dead doesn't always = permanent. Optimus was dead after all ...

They really should have saved The Fallen, the death (and if they insist) and resurection of Prime, and the arrival of Unicron for this movie.
Can you imagine if Prime died again? "oh, he died in the last movie, thats right, he'll be back" (-Anticlimax! lol)
Heres hoping they have completely left the Unicron story alone (As much as I'd love to see it I just know it couldn't be done justice), this new bot is some sort of relation to Prime (on a side note, it always pissed me off that Prime didn't inherit the Matrix of Leadership [to my knowledge] from a previous Prime)And as a previous post noted, this small ammount of information will probably mean exactly nothing when the movie finally rolls out!

I'm leaning towards ALpha Trion. That was my first impression as well. But Sentinel Prime has been a name mentioned...it definitely has an older look and, if someone with Photoshop could recolor it, could look an awful lot like Alpha Trion. It would also gel with some of the rumors that say one of the new Autobots was Optimus Prime's "father".
My guess it's Alpha Trion too.
