It has been reported Via DaimChoc on Facebook from user Wal Ken G. Siocs, that Transformers Generations Combiner Wars G2 Superion found at retail in China!
The reported price of G2 Superion is at 550 Chinese Yuan which converts to approximately $86.37 USD with today's FX rates.
G2 Superion was first revealed at SDCC here, and was not expected to be released until 2016. So what does this mean? Is G2 Superion getting an earlier mass market release than expected? Is this find just indicative to Hasbro Asia territories? Keep your optics tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest updates as we find out more.

while this is interesting news, does anyone have a new ETA for the release of the platinum Trypticon?

Quite so, I had it in the back of my mind that Victorian is supposed to be debut before the other G2 sets maybe, and I was just thinking perhaps they might have brought the G2 sets forward.

That might be possible since they effectively didn't bother releasing Stunticons in Europe so they might not have had to worry about setting aside the time to make them for that market and they can get the boxed sets done quicker for that reason perhaps.

But I guess it's not possible to know if them not releasing the Stunticons and Airraid in Europe was a last minute change or the intention all along.

Considering Europe ended up twiddling it's thumbs when it comes to Transformers and many retailers have pulled many Transformers off their online stores now due to an inability to get the re-stocks. not releasing the Stunticons looks like a very silly thing to do indeed now. they have ended up putting most of their eggs in the RID basket and yet it's a line that Retailers show apathy towards rarely bothering to stock anything much besides One Step Changers and legions.

That it's nearly Xmas and yet they have so little to actually sell Boys Toys wise that isn't Star Wars or aided at the under 8's crowd is a flippin' disgrace.

Will the Combaticons get an extra deluxe sized guy with them, like the others so far did? I know there will be a legends Shockwave coming with them, but will there be another, like Groove, Offroad or Alpha Bravo was for the Protectobots, Stunticons and Aerialbots?

Nope, Bruticus will have all 5 core members only. Here's the catch: Blast Off follows the 6th members Alpha Bravo's and Offroad's principle of using classic colors on a different alt mode. In his case, he's become a fighter jet, a straight redeco of Quickslinger to be exact:

It deserves repeating, as I don't like the idea at all. [-( Thankfully TakaraTomy seems to be working on Blast Off as a Space Shuttle orbiter.

Thankfully TakaraTomy seems to be working on Blast Off as a Space Shuttle orbiter.
So that means that just like with Groove, there will be a deluxe size for the original Blast Off? (For the record, I have no problem with Blast Off being a jet. Makes more sense, actually. Just like Groove being a legends figure does.)

And I'm glad to see the G2 Aerialbots won't have an Alpha Bravo included.

They'd be foolish not to. So this Blast Off can be purposed as a 6th member wannabe like Alpha Bravo and Offroad.

Bold emphasis mine. Did you mean "Quicksilver?" Because according to this box picture, there's no Alpha Bravo... [Edit] Sorry, I misread your post.... see note below. Left awesome pic up though....

[Edit] And now I see you said "won't" not "will." Darn, it's 3 in the afternoon and I need coffee. Sorry about that!!

Strangely enough, TT doesn't seem to be releasing the extra members to their market; they put blackjack and small-groove into tav, why not offroad or rook? I know they'll be getting offroad via ironhide, but they could've done ruckus for their market...

My guess is because the Legends Class figures have no really obvious combination methods with other toys (meaning you have to be in know), TakaraTomy can get away with releasing them standalone. The Deluxes on the other hand have a rather obvious peg in their chest, what could they be for... :-?

From the looks of it, TakaraTomy is skipping these for the time being:

- All retooled Legends, including Huffer, Warpath, Rodimus and Viper
- Alpha Bravo (they'll get him as Vortex instead)
- Offroad (they'll get the base mold as Ironhide, and the alternate shell as First Aid)
- Rook (they'll get his reshell Swindle instead)

Yeah, but it is a shame beacuse, I feel that TT could have really capitalized on this to release them as cool homages, or as anything else, I kinda thought, rook would make a cool armada dualor...

(and really, 'in the know'? Does japan not have the internet ;) , I'm sure the japanese tf fansites feature hasbro's stuff to see what they'll be getting, or maybe they don't Image)

Do kids actually pay attention to stuff like that on the net, no matter the location? Honest question here!

I don't really understand the nature of your question... I just wondered, that since we here feature all of TT's tf stuff, do the japanese tf fansites feature all of hasbros stuff? Or do they just hang out on here?

And as far as kids paying attention, I've been coming here for news since late energon era, so when I was like 14 or something, so yeah, I suppose if they are interested enough they can and will.

I'm also really surprised it's that low. Victorion was advertised as costing $99.99, he these guys are much cheaper. :BOT:

I'm a little surprised Menasor didn't show up too, I thought they were getting released together.

I hope they make stand-alone G2 versions of Alpha Bravo and Offroad, just for people like you. :-x

(Not Rook, though. Rook's mold has better uses than catering to my personal pettiness.)

True, but at the same time, the component parts at retail price are about $95, so hers makes sense. The G2 sets, not so much. And we must remember: the weapons and hands and feet are included with other sets, just as the regular version and not the upgraded versions, so I would think they should cost about the same :BOT:

Probably because they are being packaged together, and without comics; both of those (individual packaging/clear plastic bubbles, comics) add quite a bit to packaging costs, not to mention their odd shape (deluxes) make it hard to pack cases efficiently, leading to free space, which means less per case, which means more cases needed, which means more weight/shipments...
