Good news everyone. Fellow Seibertronian Optimizzy has informed us that the second wave deluxes of Transformers Generations Combiner Wars are now available for preorder at Bigbadtoystore.

They are sold either individually at 17.99$US or in sets of 4 or 8.

Here is the breakdown of what can be ordered:

Combiner Wars deluxe Air Raid
Combiner Wars deluxe Decepticon Offroad
Combiner Wars deluxe Breakdown
Combiner Wars deluxe Dead End

With Air Raid coming soon, fans will finally complete their Superion. Motormaster is yet to be available, however.

You can view the galleries of the figures available so far here.

Man, Dragstrip is so great, I can hardly wait for the rest of these Stunt-O-tronz.
The Arialblokes are great too.
Of course, I CAN wait to find them at retail.

The Legends are up as well ;)

They are only as a case of 8 or a set of 2 :-x No way I'm buying that PoS Huffer just for Blackjack. If BBTS doesn't sell them separately my money will be going elsewhere.

Neither am I, it's just cheaper for me to import. I'll just wait for them to appear in store. Thanks anyway, and hope you find Huffer somewhere.

TFSource now has the Combiner Wars wave 2 deluxes and legends available for preorder as well. No sign of Motormaster with them either, though.

Throwing this out there but Robot Kingdom said that all the Wave 2 figures have been delayed until February, don't know if that helps some people out.

Is it just me, or does that packaging art with prominent IDW logo seem like we're getting comics with this wave of deluxes?

As the combiner war comic arc is due to start soon...

I picked (and picking) up everyone except Alpha Bravo and Offroad. I'm NOT against them existing or a GEEWUN-er I just want a G1-esq Superion and Menasor, so i'll be picking up Takara Slingshot and their version of Wildrider (if they do one).

Not liking the sound of this new Devastator being completely out of scale compared to the other combiner wars releases so i'll be skipping him, which ultimately is a shame.

ps I do actually like the design of Alpha Bravo and especially Offroad but I won't make unnecessary purchases if I can avoid it.

Not a bad way to start my look at TF Generations! The Combiner Wars is definitely an interesting concept, with these two as the main component of the combiner bot. Video reviews being edited and uploaded now! Hope you can subscribe to the YouTube channel and stay tuned for the reviews :)

NO! MUST RESIST!

I'm grabbing the Megatrons and Blackjack (already have Powerglide and Bombshell). Not sure about Huffer since I already Have the Igear Ranger, plus Legends Prime and Nemesis. Don't know if I need a third version of the mold.

But those combiners. It's not like you can just get one or two. You have to get the whole shebang and I don't know if my wallet can handle it.

But they look so sweet and tasty.

They are like a cake baked inside an apple pie, dipped in chocolate, topped with a mountain of whipped cream. Mmmm, SINFUL. Be careful.

As regards to iGEAR rager vs Huffer.... I really don't know.

I feel like my classics shelf is starting to get a sense of accurate scale, only iGEAR rager is shorter than the rest of the Legends class minibots we've been getting. I always felt like Bumblebee should be the shortest, so CW Huffer gets him a bit more in scale. That's one victory.

I like to buy at retail to support the brand and the hobby, so I try to hold out for a hasbro release if a 3rd party is dropping something. Again, CW Huffer wins.

iGear Rager though... I've added a silver outline autobot reprolabel and touched up his flat blue plastic with a little sky blue to make him more screen accurate. He's the perfect screen accurate G1 huffer.

I don't know what to do!

at least if I get CW Huffer, selling my show accurate Rager would probably generate enough money that huffer paid for himself twice over. :S

What would you guys do?

The current wave of Combiner Wars figures (Optimus Prime, Silverbolt,...) are now for sale at Hasbro Toy shop (shipping now for the voyagers, 7-9 days for the deluxes). I was a bit disappointed by the fact that the deluxes are now 16.99, but oh well. I am really excited about getting them.

I've long since given up on trying to get scale correct. If it's possible, I'll try to but I don't fret it if I can't. I'm more about getting as many characters represented as possible. Another reason why I don't know if I need another Huffer since I have one I like.

I am fussy about consistency. The fact that the two prior uses of the mold have partners and this one doesn't bugs the hell out of me for some reason. I can rationalize Bombshell and Powerglide not having them because they're new molds but this is the same reason I held off on Legends Windchanger and Thundercracker. Little things like that scratch at my brain.

You dont even need to go to that extent to see that there is a problem. I simply look at the value and realize that in one year, I am paying the same amount for less toy.

I decided to get CW Huffer. He won't replace Rager, but if something happens to my Rager(pulling out those arms scare me a little) at least I got backup

Target has the CW deluxes on sale for 11.99, but the Legends figures are still 9.95. Does not compute, especially when there is 4x or more plastic in the deluxe figures.
