I ordered the legion figures. Are the 3-step changers supposed to be $22? The one-step changers are available but sold by 3rd party sellers at a mark up. Now where are the combiner wars figures?

Just bought this Grimlock: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LXCKNOC/?tag=seibertron07-20&
Also have Legion Strongarm: http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Robo?tag=seibertron07-20& ... 00LXCKU4U/
Edit: Legion OP in stock as well: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00LXCKR20?tag=seibertron07-20&
Another Edit: Here's the rest:
Legion Steeljaw: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LXCKTZU?tag=seibertron07-20&
Legion Bumblebee: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LXCKU36?tag=seibertron07-20&
3-Step Bumblebee: http://www.amazon.com/Transformers-Robo?tag=seibertron07-20& ... 00LXCKO1Y/
Given this weird selection I can only assume I missed out on some of the other stuff.

I don't like that Grimlock, but that 3-step changer is kinda neat for how it pulls off a decent robot mode and a dino mode that's pretty good too. It looks like it has only 3 usable points of articulation in robot mode (waist and shoulders). Maybe 4 if the head moves too. Still not something I'd ever buy, but it looks interesting.

3-step changers are priced correctly. They're this line's equivalent of Voyagers, kind of like how the Warriors are the Deluxe equivalent.

Flip & Change/Smash & Change would be a more apt comparison than Voyagers.ScottyP wrote:chuckdawg1999 wrote:I ordered the legion figures. Are the 3-step changers supposed to be $22? I disagree. They're the closest thing this line has to Voyagers, they're just really, really simple ones. The Smash/Flip Change figures were pure gimmick toys. These are at least attempting to have somewhat accurate robot modes, and the transformations, while simple, aren't one-step like the Smash/Flip change guys.
After typing that, I guess they're in between voyagers and flip change, aren't they? Eh, I'll leave it typed as is, more fun that way

Crossing my fingers for an eventual Voyager Grimlock.
That Deluxe one does look pretty cool though.

The Closest thing we are going to get is a 3 Step Grimlock for now.

Aren't the Flip'n'Change similar in size to Leader class?
My son's Flip/Smash'n'Change Grimlock & Optimus are pretty much the same height as my Masterpiece Grimlock & Optimus (MP10).
Unless you're referring to the smaller One-Step Changers, which are probably somewhere between the Deluxe and old Scout class.

The 3-Step Grimlock is in better scale with the other Warrior Class figures, but the Warrior Grimlock has better posability. And the Warrior Grimlock is slightly too big to use with Legion figures!

So is Warrior class going to be the deluxe class? I would prefer a little better scaling than this. Voyager Grimlock, and the rest in Deluxe class to compliment some of my PRID/Arms-Micron figures since this is kinda a continuation of it.
I just learned to appreciate Arms-Micron a lot after it had been out for a while.

Going to be saving alot of money in 2015 & 2016 it looks like. No animated Voyagers or Leader class since the 3 step have replaced one of the two offerings. This line is clearly meant for children, not a problem. But Hasbro certainly didnt learn anything with AOE sales of this kind of junk. Which figures were the ones that ran out of stock frequently? The generations deluxe style. And they shy away from that here. So this line is going to be a waste unfortunately. Too bad too because I have lots of prime figures.
On the plus side the Generations Combiner Wars are decent looking. Will only have to keep pace with one line this year.

LOL........$19 for a one step and $9 for a legion class figure?
No thanks. Buying a TF at retail is enough highway robbery for my taste, let alone these insulting prices.
I never understood, in all my years of collecting, why people are so impatient for a product that will be 1/2 price at regular retail in a month or so. They pay a premium, and for what?

The toys look good though. I will probably pick up a few one steps for my sons next month.

Unfortunately no signs of a proper Voyager Class in the future.

Does anybody else think that Hasbro is experimenting to see how much ugly we can take? Truely, no offense.

Warrior Class is akin to the Simplified Deluxe Class from the tail end of Beast Hunters. They should be the same rough size, but not as complex as regular Deluxes. And it seems that will be the only Class alongside Legion Class without any real gimmicks, like One-Step or Three-Step Transformations.
By the by, I noticed the Warriors are not numbered, or have a Series number at all. Very peculiar.

I see them as basically just transforming Battle Beasts, though. At least Thunder Hoof and Steeljaw look a lot like them.

These decepticons are original characters with original designs that dont play much of an homage to anything previous. That is quite rare when you think of it (both Prime and Animated were all about homages and inspiration from previous lines).

I wonder if Hasbro plans to roll out a "proper" series of deluxes and voyagers for RID 2015 in the Generations line at some point. The Movie 4 figures were technically split between a subline of the Generations branding and the more kid friendly "RID" assortments. Maybe Hasbro is starting with the kid-centric product first, gauging the interest in the cartoon after it launches, and then deciding whether going forward with adult collectible versions of the RID 2015 cast makes financial sense. Maybe that means waiting until 2016, or maybe they could run such a subline concurrently with the Generations Combiner Wars line as happened this year with the movie versus regular Generations lines.
