I like the ship design better than the gun design. My only gripe about this Galvatron is his funky arms. I'm fine with the headmasters gimmick, I loved them when I was a kid and I like it now, but his arms look too big to me.

The orange cannon barrel should have been used for the thruster in spaceship mode. There is no need for a stationary canon when you can just fly in shooting now.

Only for the Voyagers and Leaders, who have Scorponok-styled helmets for the Titan Masters to wear to make their head modes bigger. All the Deluxes lack helmets so the Titan Masters end up forming their whole heads.MR Optimus Prime wrote:So EVERY one of these new Titan Masters are actualy Headmaster JR's? They only form the face.

I think only the bigger figures we've seen so far have a "helmet" feature. They form the entire head for the Deluxe figures.MR Optimus Prime wrote:So EVERY one of these new Titan Masters are actualy Headmaster JR's? They only form the face.

Making a really 86 movie-accurate Galvatron would be next to impossible, because the alt mode had really skinny and spindly arms for the 'tripod' of his gun.
Alt.jpg)
There was, and still is, probably no way to take those little stick-boy props as pictured in this image and turn them into the beefy, organically armored arms pictured for his robot mode.

Neither of which of course look like what the 86 toy actually was....

It goes without saying the upcoming Generations toy blows the G1 version out of the water. Whatever flaws it may have, I'll take it over the G1 toy or the Universe Rubik's cube version any day of the week.

Also the colouration changes a lot in the G1 toon galvatron, too much to be done properly.
I'll always like his universe mould for what it is. It's far from perfect, like his arms never want to stay attached when transforming him but, I like it. Of course, it's nothing compared to the titan returns galvatron. Interestingly though, as a kid when I played with the G1 toy, I have him a ship mode as well by spreading his upper arms out but keeping his treads attached and having his handle flat against the back of his legs facing up.

Well...
If the cannon and the flight systems are powered from the same source, flying would diminish power available for the cannon's output. And of course, there's the problem of dealing with recoil in flight - that limits the firepower you can dish out with a forward-facing airborne cannon.

This is Galvatron we're talking about. Rational thinking doesn't apply.

Here's Galvatron's official character model with the new toy's stock photos for a better comparison.

I'm not saying Universe Galvatron was hard to transform. I'm just saying i got him back into tank mode and Pinhead appeared.

I wish Galvatron's Track pods were grey they look dead odd in Purple.
I also hope the jet cockpit can be flipped of extended in to the signature support leg in cannon mode.
I hope the cannon will stay in without the use of the shoulder supports as I think those should be flipped back not forwards to look more like the original's design.
Also he doesn't need 3 Decepticon logos that just looks silly one was fine. - But at least they are covered up in robot mode.
I'll likely knock the pin out of the cannon hinge if it's feasible to do that I don't like that hinged piece hanging down like that. It might have made more sense to have it parts form and then you could stick it on the Titan=Master vehicles as a bonkers engine or on the bases as decoration when not needed.
I understand why the minifigures don't have separated legs and knees as they are so very small A small shame though that they do not-
I'm a little concerned that all toys will have appropriate storage for them (not just the Deluxes) as you really don't want to loose Galvatron's head as the only place to put him is upside down in the cockpit or standing on a peg I guess.
