Transformers Titans Return Triggerhappy Review

Posted by D-Maximal_Primal Nov 9, 2016 at 5:04pm CST 28,589 views
Fellow Seibertronian Sillyspringer has alerted us that the second deluxe of Titans Return Wave 3 now has a review! Titans Return Triggerhappy is the latest figure to be reviewed, this time by John Garringer, and in the process of watching the review one can find some very interesting things. His transformation is incredibly unique in that there are parts that swivel from the front to the back, from the top to the bottom, and sometimes even unfolding almost to the point of doubling his height. You can check out the full review below, and you can let us know what you think of him in the comments section below!

Finally found Brainstorm today for $18 and picked up Blurr for $9.

And before anyone says anything, yes, I have spent months sh|tting on this figure (blurr), and no, buying it hasn't changed my mind on the lackluster, nonexistent paint job - it still ruins the figure. I merely bought it for what I thought it was worth >:oP

But the figure is solid, a solid base for remolding and re-tooling. The alt mode is so sleek and sexy and I like the transformation. The bot mode is solid, but very bland, wish we had gotten something closer to the TT release, but we won't |:|

Brainstorm is really nice, while the alt mode might be a little bulbous, it works; I prefer the gen30 version, but that's only because I have them both, for those that don't this one works well enough. But, man, he is just covered in paint, most of his parts were molded in grey and then painted teal, and the tampo's on his wings and legs are just so refreshing to see. His bot mode is more distinct than blurr, and it really helps - it makes blurr seem like eevee, and each remold is an eevee-lution :-P

Given a choice between the two, I'd choose brainstorm, blurr is just too lackluster.

You mean the Cyclonus that they only just last year gave us in Combiner Wars?

That they already made a new Cyclonus so recently is likely a big reason why they even made the new Galvatron and Scourge in Titans Return.

Is it weird to say that I'm more excited about the deluxes in this line than the larger ones? I suppose it's because they're easier to get a bunch of.

Walmart's on board. For $9.98 each I picked 3 Scouges. Already owned one from about 2 months ago so I now have Scourge and his Sweeps. My TR line is going to have a pretty sweet display. :BOT:

I don't think it's weird at all. It seems this is the general consensus on the entire line, at least for the first two waves. The deluxes have the most value out of any of the classes and have been consistently good, on the other hand legends, voyagers, and leaders have had less of an impact due to the less than good/problematic figures and remolding.

The deluxes also have the benefit of being characters who were historically [x]masters, while the characters in the larger classes are representatives of non-Master gimmicks (except Powermaster Prime) being turned into Titan Masters. You've got Headmasters, Targetmasters, and Powermasters all being represented as deluxes. Twinferno and Perceptor are so far the only revealed characters who have never been depicted as any sort of Master. I don't remember who else was on the leaked release list, anybody want to help out?

Breastforce simply refers to the gimmick of having an animal that turns into a weapon that turns into chest armour. Just so happens that the only ones to have that are Deathsaurus and the Liokaiser components.
Deathsaurus actually had two breastforce dudes. A tiger and an eagle.

Yeah, the Breastforce refers to the chest armor/animal/Targetmaster gimmick, not just the Liokaiser team.

He has the same gimmick as the others and, at the time, only Breastforce members had that gimmick. He just didn't combine with any of the others in the original lineup, much like how Star Saber was a Brainmaster but didn't combine with the other Brainmasters to form Road Caesar.
