BIG news folks. Twitter user ???? has posted scans of hobby magazine featuring prototype images of Transformers Unite Warriors Groove! It's been long speculated, teased, and now finally confirmed. It is a completely new mold, and will complete the "Classic" feel of Defensor by giving newcomer Rook the boot.

Along with the Groove reveal, we also get to see our first glimpse of Transformers Adventures Powerglide, Cosmos, Drift, and a Steeljaw (with a very Prowl'esq deco).

Tired of reveals? We're almost done! Earlier today TFyuki showed us Legends G1 Megatron in his cardboard prison, and teased Aramada Megatron. But now he's in the flesh... err plastic! And alongside him is Black Convoy? He of course is a repaint of Reveal the Shield Laser Optimus Prime, and a version of him was already made by the Transformers Collectors Club.

I wont lie, compared the general aesthetic of the combiner wars figures, groove seems somewhat out of place with how much detail and greebling it has in vehicle mode. Not to say the generations toys have surface detailing like TFP or animated, however the texture employed here seems to have a higher budget behind it.

Groove looks kinda cool, and I'll probably pick up Black Convoy.
Armada Megatron looks cool, but won't replace my Hasbro one, and not enough difference in Powerglide or Cosmos.

Nice designs though.

Read "Legends Armada Megatron" and got excited for a small $10 figure. Now I'm sad...

Best HasTak news of the day.

Congrats to Takara for creating and insisting on original G1 team members for there combiners. Since there made, Hasbro will probably release all of them eventually.

Think it's easy for anyone to speculate that Takara Unite Warriors deluxe Groove. Will get repurposed as CW Technobots Afterburner.

I like the look of Groove, but he can't save that Defensor from looking like a gorilla. I really don't see any difference in Cosmos but I'm glad I didn't wait on Powerglide, as I can't stand that big gaudy sticker on his chest. Score one for Hasbro on that one.

Well at this point I wonder what new character will go with the Combaticons or Technobots when they get made?

I only ask because when Takara brings out the withheld character for "proper" configuration and online retailers follow suit, it'll be nice to know who's getting booted on to Galvatronus's team of castoffs.

I'm still gonna get groove for my , he's a cool chest piece and gives defensor bulk on his chest. Same as blackjack on my menasor and powerglide on my Optimus, in which I have them connected to them in an easy custom form. So far as rook goes, inlike him and I'm gonna put him with alpha brovo for my Optimus Prime combiner

when i first heard of deluxe groove i thought the same thing maybe it will eventually be used as afterburner but looking at that picture of groove they would need to significantly have to retool
it to look right

Looking at some of the repurposed CW toys. Most are extensive retools. Given that, Think it's plausable to expect a CW deluxe groove repurposed into CW Afterburner.

Guess we'll know in a few weeks at Botcon or SDCC.
