Seriously you could by a real car for that and what would be the point? You don't have Mensaor's face so you can't combine them and given the price you will probably never play with them.
Hopefully next year we will get new Stunticons toys with a G2 exclusive.

I dunno, to say that they have it maybe? To own a rare piece of TF history that's soooo rare that most collectors aren't even aware of its existence to even consider it a 'holy grail'? What's the point in collecting any TFs? It's no different than buying any rare/hard to find figure or vintage item to add to one's collection. These just so happened to be rarer and to go for a higher price. I've paid as much as $1250 for a single figure before just because it was an extremely rare piece that I wanted in my collection that badly.
As for not having the head, since it's based on the exact same mold as the G1 version, they could just use a G1 Menasor head. It's not like black and silver are going to clash with the rest of the combined mode or anything. Of course, if they really wanted to and they have like $5 worth of paints and a brush, they could just custom paint a G1 Menasor head to match the G2 set's color scheme and combine them. It wouldn't be hard to do at all.

Forget the price being the detriment to combining them.... TFWiki says that only Wildrider, Breakdown, Drag Strip and Dead End ever got as far as being sealed in packaging samples, Motormaster never did. This means this set is very likely the ONLY G2 Menasor that is MISP in existence. That alone should prevent whomever has the apparently deep pockets to buy this item from opening the bags and combining them, let alone playing with them.
And if you think about it, we already have CHUG versions of Breakdown (from TFCC) and Drag Strip (from the Classics Mirage mold), so all we need is Dead End and Wildrider. I bet you anything the new Generations Voyager Optimus will be redecoed/retooled into Motormaster.

I do have a rule about that but I will make exceptions for rarities like the following:
Lucky Draw Unicron was loaned to me from fellow Seibertronian JRFitzpatrick7 and the green Wreckers Ramulus was loaned to me by Glen Hallit and the Hartman brothers.
Rare and unique figures like that are an honor to photograph and I wish more opportunities would come up like that.
I do get a lot of requests from people to send me more-or-less regular retail or convention releases that aren't in the galleries but those I prefer to own in order to photograph. Usually it's not worth shipping and insuring figures back and forth for regular figures but a rare item like a Lucky Draw or an unreleased figure is more than worth it.

I saw those Energon leader prototypes and almost bid - then I read the description. Thought they looked funny and they're missing so many parts, just couldn't do it.
