Upcoming FansProject Product Revealed - Causality 2011

Seibertron member Frostic_Prime has informed us that the 3rd party toy maker - FansProject has updated their website with a teaser for an upcoming product - Causality.

From the teaser, it is confirmed that this figure will be a five-member Gestalt. However, it is not clear who the combiner is paying homage to, or if it is paying homage to a combiner at all. Two of the members revealed are repaints/remolds of their products Munitioner and Explorer. They are renamed Warcry and Flameblast, respectively. Flameblast looks to have a brand new head. And so it begins...

FansProject begins a new story. Mark me down for the boxset if its under 150. One thing though; insignias... these need original branding. Brand new story, brand new universe. No more Optimus vs Megatron, finally!

Kinda jumped the gun on thinking they'll quit the homage figs, then I notice the subtitle "crossfire SIDE STORY"... :WHISTLE:

Complete and utter speculation on my part, but purely based on the colour scheme, is nobody else thinking of Battle Gaia?

"Warcry" looks an awful lot like Leyland to me and "Flameblast" bears more than a passing resemblance to Shuttle Gunner.

Just a thought mind you....

Yes, yes as I'm reading these new posts, it could be any of these suggestions. However, none of the other FansProject releases were given this "side story" moniker... I'm gonna go out on a limb and say all original characters and backstory for Causailty (hopefully a new faction of transforming race altogether). Its no gimme that these combine (at least not exclusively with each other) by the way; notice the remould on CA-01 knees...
I would sell these as Basic class figures to keep costs down (around the $20 mark) then sell an add on (connection joints with super articulation) to mix and match scramble city combiners style. Your collection will never get old no matter how long the Causailty line lasts! I digress into pure speculation - but throwing ideas out there to the "For Fans By Fans" toy company...

The remaining three members are repaints of the three new figures for Crossfire 3 - Devastator...

.... it only makes sense.

I'm glad I waited, Warcry and Flameblast look way better than their predecessors... even though they were pretty awesome too.

Is it just me, or do these repaints share the same g2 colors of g2 Swindle and Blast-Off?

they look more like a couple of updates of the micromaster figures...

Warcry = Micromaster Growl
Flameblast = Micromaster Fireshot or Vanquish or Tracer (not sure on which he reminds me off)

Real awesome. Cant wait to see the other guys. 3 and 4 are lookin nice, I dig the the claws on 3 and 4 looks awesome just from the shadow.

definitely get an Insecticon vibe from CA-04 (a praying mantis in particular, from the back kibble), and even from CA-03, what with his claws. Looking at 05's left ankle (on our right) it looks like a tail-rotor for a helicopter. Really, I have no idea who these guys could be, if in fact they're based on any existing characters.

unless...random wild guess here...BW Predacons homages? Warcry has a bit of Terrorsaur and Inferno in his coloration. 3 and 4 could be Scorponok and Waspinator. The other 2 have me kind of stumped there of course, but it makes as much sense to me as anything.

Exactly what I thought, the names are pointing to them too.
04 looks like it could be a Bombshell homage.
