User 11-11 over at ACToys has posted color pictures of Generations Warpath. There are images of both tank and robot mode. Most likely this figure is mistransformed. The red and silver/grey colors are a very nice homage to his G1 incarnation. Generations Warpath is slated for release this spring or early summer. See the original post here. Images are mirrored below.
This is Hasbro's version? Just wondering because it looks pretty sweet and I don't want to get all excited over this if there is little chance of me laying my hands on one. Have to agree that it is very obviously mis-transformed but it is still amazing looking. The mismatched shades of red do kind of bug me a bit but I understand the reason for it and therefore can excuse that minor detail. The 'K4-90W' on the side more than makes up for it. That was a very cool detail to add to him.
Best. Warpath. Ever. (which is not a big ask, but the legends version was pretty cool).
I love Warpath, he was one of the few minibots I had as a kid, really glad they've whipped out an awesome looking mould for him.
Only think I don't like is the cheap looking plastic used for the barrel (the same plastic as is used for the missile). But this lends slightly more weight to my theory/hope that the barrel can be removed from his chest and attached to his back. Not for Warpath obviously, but for whatever repaint he gets, be it Guzzle, Brawl, or Bombshock... hopefully not Blitzwing.
I am actually very curious and want to see the robot mode from the side to see how his chest swallow the entire main gun. The main gun in tank mode looks very long.
Very nice, a little disappointed that it's an H-tank design, but the disappointment passes quickly upon looking at his robot mode again and the many many weapon ports he has, though I think Skullgrin and Straxus have more, this guy clearly has plenty enough to put several large guns on, and that makes me smile. Also, does his head remind anyone else of the Protoss from Starcraft?
This and the new DOTM Powerglide might be pretty cool repainted and put together as that Duocon..Flywheels? Except Flywheels was the PG type plane, I know. So bad call. oops.
You can tell how the legs are supposed to look: the knees are on the outside, so the lower legs need to be turned inward 90 degrees. Then those parts that are currently sticking out would "close" on their hinges and form the shins and feet. And you can tell it will look awesome!
