UPDATE from Toys R Us Representative: TRU Masterpiece Grimlock Pre-Orders

Saw this topic yesterday and thought to myself, "Hey, that TRU is only 5 miles out of my way. I'll check it out tomorrow after work." Sadly they were already sold out of the Grimlocks.

I did get the SKN (TRU's version of a SKN) for anybody that wants it 35-4815, hopefully I can at least help someone else find one at their local store.

This location also had 3 Animated Arcee and at least 6 of the Cybertron mode Ratchet. There were also quite a few of the PCC 5-packs and at least 2 of each PCC 2-pack.

I worked for TRU for 3 years so I can confirm what others were saying, they don't get to order stock, its all based on what the computer says each location has. They are just auto-shipped a truck full of stuff and find out what they got as they're putting it out.

All I know is I received my note today from TRU indicating my pre-order was shipping at the price I paid @$59.81 - which included tax and shipping

Will arrive sometime next week.

All of the TRU stores that I called in my area including the Time Square store had no idea they were suppose/going to getting MP Grimlock in and none of them have it in stock. I'm just glad they're processing the online orders now so I don't have to hunt these down.

Was just at the Times Square store this evening, MP Grimlock not in stock yet. The only Animated series figure there was Ratchet. Otherwise some PCC (first wave), they don't even have Drift or Thrust from Generations! Some Commemorative figures (Insecticons, Perceptor), old figures!

As usual no love for Mudflap!

I don't care about the delay. It's the CANCELLATION they mentioned that bothers me when they sent that first email right after the price went up. I don't want them to cancel my order and then I have to re-order with the "updated" price.

Anyone order an extra one?

I ask cause money is real tight for the next couple weeks and I'd rather not put one on the credit card if I don't have to. A friend called and said our local TRU has 3 on the shelf right now... If there's a good chance they will restock later, then I will wait...

Toys'R'Us has always, for the last few years' worth of exclusives, gotten an initial small wave in, and then "performing" stores get a restock a month to three months later. It happened with Animated Arcee and Ratchet, all the ROTF multipacks, the '07 Movie Voyagers and Ultras, Titanium Grimlock and Prowl, Perceptor and the Insecticons, and a few others. The only exclusive that I've seen in years that didn't follow the pattern was "Classics" Reissue Soundwave.
