Video Review of Power Core Combiners Bombshock!

I don't see too much difference between these guys and the Energon Combiners. Kneww articulation? Check. No elbows? Check. (Although Smoulder looks like he might have elbows just because of how he works).

But they're much cheaper than the Energon combiners, so that's a plus for those who like 'em. So far I'm not seeing anything I like tho.

I somehow get the feeling that these could be decent for the price, and are definatly kid friendly. If/when these hit tv commercials, my sons will be all about them.

Not really. The Fan groups are by the Collector, for the Collector. These toys are by a toy maker, for kids. Sometimes it amazes me that Hasbro even listens to us at all considering how most collectors treat them.

The lowest i will go is those rotf repaints and no lower, now i will have money saved for older figures i missed.

Anyways I think everyone knows my opinion on PCC's already. This line was made for me and I'll collect it like no other.

They could make better figures or not make them at all

I was excited when we first heard about these coming out, and now that I see them, they are hideous!

Oh by Primus. Let's all drop the thought train that if something isn't 100% perfect, then some 3rd party will make it better. Don't like it, don't buy it. If you buy something with the sheer hope that FP will make something for it, then you're sending the wrong message to Hasbro.

IMO of course, but there are far better and cooler things that FP, ImpToys, etc can do instead of wasting time on the PCC figures.

I like the concept of drones turning into limbs for a super mode but the execution here is lacking - those limbs look terrible. One can understand it if it doesn't look too flash because it needs to have a bot mode and a limb mode but these don't, they just go from being a vehicle to an arm or whatever and they do it poorly.

You know it's really not a hard concept to grasp. Hasbro's had no problem getting combiner sets to sell in the good ol days. I mean honestly, who here didn't collect all 6 constructicons individually? Or how about Rail Racer? Now THAT was a combiner. 3 figures, no extra parts you had to add to make hands or feet. Instead we get these crappy little sets with "drones" that turn into barely passable limbs. Energon had the right idea, it was just executed poorly. Honestly, i think even G1 did better. How hard is it to give us a Voyager with 4 deluxes that turn into limbs without having to add any extra parts? I mean we've seen what hasbro is capable of. they're just cheap.
