IGN has updated their website with a little blurb concerning two pre-order exclusive characters in the upcoming Transformers video game - War For Cybertron. We already know of one - if you pre-order the game from Gamestop, you get a code to unlock Shockwave. Now if you pre-order the game off of Amazon.com, you get a code to unlock Demolishor. Demolisher looks very similar to his Armada form. Check each character's CGI below.

well this one's sort of a no brainer... Shockwave is way more badass... they probably should've announced this awhile back though for the people who would prefer Demolisher over Shockwave but already pre-ordered. Seeing as how the game isn't out til june Gamestop could've been made to wait so all the stores could announce their preorders around the same time.

Hmmm...so are there going to be Armada-esque skins available besides this?

It seems like they might want to get a more popular skin from G1...Galvatron, Hot Rod, Cyclonus, or even someone a little more well known from Armada, maybe?

I liked Demolishor's figure from Armada, but no way I would choose him over one of the coolest, and arguably one of the most important, transformers in the mythology. Will be pre-ordering at Gamestop.

Already preordered at gamestop. Dont regret it one bit. I liked Demolishers character but he never was a good form IMO. I like how they adapted it though. Makes me curious if there will be more non-G1 homages.

As long as you can use the codes in any version of the game (like that 2007 movie game), then I don't care. I'll just grab the codes off GameFAQs, plug 'em in, unlock the characters, ???, and PROFIT!

Also, Amazon made a preview video for Demolishor. With the BFG he doesn't look that bad, but Shockwave is still more convincing.

Awesome! Demolisher was one of my favorite Armada/Energon Decepticons when I was a kid, in fact, it was one of the first ever Transformers figures I ever gotten! Too bad I can't order online ^.^, but I got a friend ordering Shadow Warrior for me, so that will be nice! :lol:

Demmy looks good. Very nice cybertronian styling on his Armada self. I'm glad this is just DLC and not a figure or I would have to go on the hunt. Do hope they make figures for Demolisher, Shockwave, Starscream, Omega Supreme & Trypticon. Hasbro has to know that 9 out of 10 collectors would eat them up. Come on HasTakTom make the figures, you know you want the money :ic$: :ic$:

Theres only one thing i want to know, are these bonuses going to be universal codes like the last 2 TF games or are they one time use token codes like every other game has? I dont wanna waste my time and money pre-ordering for no reason.

I don't have my ps3 hooked to the net so it won't matter how mice these guys look. Code to download = forget it to me.
