Not really. The G1 character was Skyfire. This game features his brother, Jetfire. There you go a simple retcon

Actually the way the wings and visible cockpit are set up make me think more of Powerglide. Those who own the Universe toy will know what I mean.

Also Ironhide looks pretty badass. I'm loving this more and more every time I see something new. Bumblebee's not my first choice for a sword wielding type, but even that looks awesome.

Was thinking the same thing!
Can't wait for this to come out. I'm impressed with how well they kept the lid on this game, they must have been developing it for years.

I was hoping that the game would take place in a G1 universe, but not the cartoon one. In the cartoon Soundwave was a lamppost on Cybertron
In this game he will be a truck according to an article I read.
anyway, I got everything I basically wanted from this game, G1 universe, online multiplayer, awesome graphics, and a TOY LINE!!!! Seriously can't wait for a REAL JETFIRE (whose name was changed to Skyfire in the cartoon because Hasbro did not own full copyright over the word "jetfire") No parachute farts, No landing gear cane, No beard, and NO OLD-AGE INDUCED RANDOM RAMBLINGS!!!!!!!!

Not a toyline of its own, exactly. But merely three figures in the Generations toyline (and those three are all that's currently planned. If you ask me, the Henkei!
