Is it perfect? No. But it sure as hell blows those wallet-raping, original-damaging, Crazy Devy crapfests out of the water!

If they do it in the Gen 2 colours then I'll bite.

Considering the 'cons were only released with the connectors for Devvie in the North American market, the Gen 2 set makes a lot of sense.

Same... but whichever party goes yellow and also is first to include shoulder connections for Euro Bonecrusher and Scavenger to connect to hook has my money.

Agreed with the wallet raping Crazy Devy adjective! Now that the latter is feeling the heat, has dropped the price of their overpriced upgrade and combined it to a sort of cheapo buffet price.

I mean, how stupid or is it greedy can they be?(CrazyDevy that is).........before the fans will start turning against them.

I can't even bring myself to check out how much I paid for the sets these guys KOed off CrazyDevy. I don't much like the new add-ons they made themselves (the chest shield, the crotch peice), but I love that they seemed to fix the hands and added swivels to the legs. If there wasn't an even better Devy in Herculese and Giant I would probably have bought this set to replace those parts of the CD original.

That said, Herc and Giant ARE coming out, so ... I regret buying the stuff for G1 Devy at all. When they came out I thought that was as good as it'd get, but time has proven me wrong.

I was thinking about getting this but am now on the first. I was messing around with the Hercules figures and with encore Devy. Between the two its like going from the Wright Bros flyer to an F-22 and I think adding modern touches to the original kinda ruins it. It was one thing when Hercules or Giant werent an option so modding up the original was your only option. Now I think leaving Devy original and placing next to the new figures as a nostalgia piece is the way to go.

So I wonder., do I just need the base Construticon toys , or do I need any of the extra parts that came with the toys to merge to form Devastator?

a few things i noticed were he pratically had to hold the figure the entire time for the review which makes me wonder if he can even stand let alone pose like the images weve seen. and that led feature looks like shockwaves head was transplanted onto devastator. also those fingers leave much to be desired.

as others have said with the advent of herc and giant there doesnt seem to be much need for these addons unless you want to give devy an update which i dont.
