A new way to fight the Heavy Metal War
For over fifteen years, the Heavy Metal War has been raging across Seibertron.com where the Autobot defenders face down the threat of the Decepticon hoards in an endless battle for supremacy, and we at WarPorn industries, along with our partners in Amalgamated Pretense, have finally developed an overview of the planet we have spent over a decade and a half destroying fighting over.
Yes it was made in MS Paint. What of it?
The Dawn of a New Era of HMW is upon us.
Through a series of battles, the heroic Autobots and way cooler Decepticons can now fight to gain control over regions of their home planet, with each one giving its the victors access to altmodes, arms and even some advantages specific to the chosen battleground.This is how it will work:
- Once a month (at least) one of the factions will be told to choose a district to assault. They can vote together or select a representative to do it for them, but one must be chosen.
- The newly-formed Senate; consisting of Burn, Sustain and Myself will announce publicly what the factions must do to win control of that district by setting a challenge, and laying out any available rewards.
- If you and your faction win that challenge you will claim victory, receive the spoils of war, and take that district for your side.
- The defeated faction then have a few weeks to repair their wounded and decide on their next step. Do they exact their revenge or seek more resources and weapons to aid them?
- The defeated faction then nominate the next district to war over, and the Senate once again deliver their terms of war and describe any rewards or resources to be gained.
- This will continue until a faction finally controls the whole of Cybertron apart from Iacon and Kaon.
- The city-fortresses of Iacon and Kaon can ONLY be challenged once a faction controls every other district of Cybertron.

This is a series of mini-games and challenges for players of Heavy Metal War who visit the HMW:GD forums and entry to these games will require participation in the forum community. Please drink & post responsibly. Tactics and game discussions can also be found in the faction specific forums,
Iacon and 
Darkmount(If you cant get into your factions private forum, nag Burn.)
Battles and rewards will vary, as will the tactics required to win these challenges. Some may be hunts for allies, some may be individual missions for resources and some may be an all out war against your enemies, but all are guaranteed to bring carnage for your cause!
