The Nemesis--Corridors

"Shouldn't be too hard. I just need to be a little pickier than usual and drop a 'Con while still keeping him talking."

She mentioned with full confidence. A trick shot like that was normal for her.

"I am getting a little worried that we haven't seen more 'Cons. You would figure the closer we get to the hangar the more we would find."

"Okay this is going to sound crazy- okay, no this is crazy, but the transponder I left back in the ducts around the Hangar bay is bouncing around like an mecha-flea on Styx!" Nautica had said, right before another seemingly transformational shift happened, crushing a small crew of approaching Seekers. They needed to hurry but they also needed to proceed with caution or that could just as easily happen to them.

"You're right, that's crazy," Elita agreed.

"Stop!! Wait! Sorry, but I think we should probably go to the right." Windblade chimed in. Elita-1 had no idea what to make of her sudden pronouncement. She seemed to have some sort of strange understanding of what was happening here, but did that mean she knew which direction to go?

“Kid, er, Windblade. Don’t run off without us. You know, I don’t know how you did that, but you think you could lead us to the hangar? I’m afraid the path to it is getting more convoluted by the astrosecond. I mean, unless you’re still sure where we’re going,” Chromia said.

"Not as sure as she is, clearly," Elita said with a grin as she urged the others to continue onward. "Keep an eye on your transponder, Nauty, and let's keep moving. I have a feeling our rescue here might be tapped into something deeper."

"I am getting a little worried that we haven't seen more 'Cons. You would figure the closer we get to the hangar the more we would find," Roulette said.

"All the more reason to think this beast isn't gonna blow up. They'd be clamoring for a way off. They're trying to figure out what the frag is happening so Megatron doesn't execute every one of 'em when they bring his ship back to him. Good thing for us we can use their confusion against them."

"Great job," said Boss to Windblade after her unnatural sense of danger, "I must say, you seem to bave some... Skill in a way. Though, I can't quite out my finger on it."

As they pressed on, Roulette expressed her concerns about the lack of Decepticons showing up as they ran ahead, and Elita responded with her thoughts. It was all very confusing. Something didn't make sense. Like, old tales of the old war on Cybertron were flooding back to him. For so many millions of years, he thought it was all fairy tales told by the elders of their race at the time of his raising. Stories of valliant heroes fighting giant monsters. But somehow he felt some of those said stories had some assemblance of truth in them. Natural senses always lied, and Boss felt that his instincts were the most valuable of all of the senses in his metal body.

As they slowed down a bit to carefully look around, it was all so... Unatural feeling. The corridors had an erie sense filling them. The dimly lit ship felt like a death trap. Every bit of it. But not only for them, but also for anything; ANYTHING aboard the ship. The smell of death and spilled energon faintly opressed those wandering its confusing enigmas for corridors. A terrifying experience indeed for any Cybertronian, old or new. Even for a Turbomaster. Courage was the Turbomaster's greatest ally however. That and determination. As once said, "Together we stand, devided we survive". It was the qualities of a Turbomaster being tested. But for what? What if-

*CRASH*

A wall suddenly slammed into the corridor behind them that they had come from. Truly, it was a death trap. But why? Built by whom?

"Thunderclash," Boss started, "sir, you are limping. We aren't going to survive if you can't move fast."

Boss then turned to his fellow Turbomaster brothers,

"Men, please, one of you needs to help Thunderclash. Give him a shoulder to lean on or something."

Boss turned back to Thunderclash,

"Sorry sir, just worried."

"Men, please, one of you needs to help Thunderclash. Give him a shoulder to lean on or something."

“Balderdash!” Thunderclash uttered with as much authority as he could muster. “Utter rubbish. I’m fine, old chap. You needn’t fret about me. Turn your attentions to the others. Keep pressing the advantage, Autobots!”

Moving past Boss to demonstrate that all was as well as it could be, Thunderclash caught sight of the femmes leading their ragtag band of escapees. “Is it much further? The longer we tarry here, the greater the chance that we may encounter Skyquake and his Predators.”

“Not much, Thunderclash,” Chromia replied, looking back before turning to Elita-1. “I hope.”

As the group rounded a corner in the shifting hallways, Chromia paused as she saw that down a long straight stretch ahead of them were open doors, which revealed what looked to be a hangar. “Ha! Look, ‘Lita! We’re nearly there.” Lightly tapping Elita in the shoulder, Chromia smiled. It looked as if this nightmare was going to be coming to an end shortly.

“Is it much further? The longer we tarry here, the greater the chance that we may encounter Skyquake and his Predators," Thunderclash said. Elita looked over in his direction. He was holding up pretty well in spite of the fragged circumstances. Hopefully it wouldn't be too much further. Like he said, the longer they remained, the more likely their chances of escape diminished. Fortunately Chromia noticed their destination before even Elita had a chance.

“Ha! Look, ‘Lita! We’re nearly there," Chromia said. Elita looked forward and her whole expressing changed. Slaggin' Aces. They'd retrieved Prowl's little mystery bot and there was their way out. Short of the entire corridor collapsing on them--which was at least a somewhat fair possibility right now--they had an uninterrupted straight-shot to their destination.

"Hoof it, Autobots. That's where we wanna be!" Elita called out as she picked up her pace.

Corridors

Windblade strode along blankly listening to what Chromia had asked her, not even entirely sure if she was in control of her own actions. She didn't offer a response, either -- she just walked wherever her gut told her to go. The woman strode ahead of the rest of the crowd, looking down and turning whenever a hallway would close off or another would open, but the paths seemed to level out as they approached the hangar.

"The hangar?" she said, still confused by her own actions and a bit bewildered by everything at that point.

She strode forward and looked through the doors, and saw various seekers amongst others scurrying about in disarray, some literally leaping into leaving shuttles, abandoning ship, whilst others seemed baffled by the current events. One even noticed Windblade, but simply sat down upon a crate and looked to the floor, trembling.

They wouldn't find any resistance here, unless they caused trouble otherwise.

As the Autobots made their approach with both a sense of haste and newfound hope, the ship beneath their feet trembled once more. The large doorway leading to the Hangar they desperately rushed towards sealed in a flash as the heavy metallic doors closed before their arrival to the hangar.

"Well we're not getting in that way." Rotorstorm remarked as he watched the doors seal on themselves.

"Shoot!" Nautica cursed, quickly trying to find another route on her holographic display. "Take the next right! And pray the next door isn't sealed yet eith-" The femme froze in her tracks as she took notice of the mechs coming down the corridor, each one flashing their jade optics...

-

Skyquake rounded another corner as yet another tremor ruptured through the ship. Why now? Skyquake had kept the ship completely under control! Megatron himself even ensured that the failsafe would hold, why now does his grasp seem to be slipping? Unless... He recalled the communication that ran through the bridge, that booming voice made mention of a city speaker? But Skyquake was more than assured his prize was sealed away in it sarcofuaus... There's no way the Nemesis could've know. Unless...

As Skyquake furthered down the corridor, his jade optics spotted a series of intruders, the most prominent of the bunch being a bright pink femme leading the charge. Behind her was a various assortment of other colorful mechs, but standing tall in the midst of it all was the eons-old rival of Skyquake, struggling to keep up having escaped his prison in the Resevoir. First the ship, and now this? Madness.

"Orders, sir?

"Our prisoners are escaping!" The Sky commandant bellowed as he drew his rocket launcher and respond to Falcon's inquiry. "They are no to leave this ship alive! Open fire! Take no prisoners!" The large green and black Decepticon then fired off his weapon aiming down the corridor is a wide range, trying to hit anything that was standing before him as he began to slowly close the distance between the two groups.

Skyquake!

A startling thing to see, Boss' spark flickered. Quickly, the fiend began to open fire at them as the other fools of his began to do the same. Boss turned with his back to the attackers and ran, shielding Road Rage from the oncoming attacks. He began to take painful hits as he desperately tried to protect the femme as he ran to find some sort of cover.

---

Moonracer quickly drew her rifle at the sight of the evil slime and his compatriots. As Skyquake and the other 'Cons fired, Moonracer shot as many of the rockets as she could, though missing a few. Shards of missiles dented her shell as they flew too close for comfort.

She then began to run backwards while shooting at Skyquake and his goons, though she feared she might mistep and end up on the floor. Her only hope was tryharding.

Corridors - Outside Hangar Bay:

"Ah, slag..." Roulette said as she saw the door slam down and cut their escape. Then Decepticons started coming in the other side. "Ah, double slag."

Being in the forefront with Elita she now found herself farthest away from their enemies. She knelt down and prepared her rifle, using the movement of everyone in front to obscure her. She grinned and pointed her rifle.

"Let's see if we can't make Skyquake rethink things."

Skyquake was an obvious target for her so she took careful aim. His ugly face was clear in her sights so she took her shot. She had seen enough commander types to know this was probably not going to end him. However, it might convince him to back away and perhaps give them an opening.

"By Primus, please don't jinx us," Boss said. And before they could get much further, the ship shuddered before slamming the door--almost literally--in their face.

"Are you frag-ging kidding me?!" Elita roared, kicking the door out of pure frustration before following after Nautica and motioning for the others to do the same. They had no option but to think on their feet and adapt to whatever was being thrown at them. Whether it be a ship that seemed to be coming apart at the welds or.... emerging Decepticons that had definitely taken notice of them now. "Well...I've been called worse than a 'jinx' in my time."

"Let's see if we can't make Skyquake rethink things," Roulette said as she, Moonracer and the others engaged in the sudden battle they were now faced with. Elita would be no different. Rifle in hand, she fired. She was no crack shot like Roulette, but she'd get her licks in where she could.

Windblade was stepping forward into the hangar when the doors closed just before her. It wasn't like the others , this time -- she had no warning, just the spasm of pneumatic pistons and a slam of metal against metal, cutting them cleanly from their escape route. She stood in disbelief for a moment as she gathered her thoughts. Maybe she was losing her precognition? Or perhaps it was closed by another?

Her questions were soon answered when Boss yelled, "Skyquake!"

Did he say "Skyquake"? That person didn't sound too pleasant.

As she turned to face her comrades, Windblade was astonished: A group of Decepticon warriors, Skyquake at their head, all marching forward, firing their weapons. Her wings drooped as she realized how dire the situation was. There was no cover, no escape route, only a closed off corridor with a firing squad on the other side. There was no escape.

Her comrades started firing back, pegging several Vehicons on their heads, detonating their craniums in showers of sparks and Energon, their lifeless bodies falling flat on the floor, only to be crushed beneath the boots of their unfeeling comrades. But no matter how many fell, it was as though there was always another to step forward and take their comrade's place.

The Vehicons fired back, and as Windblade stood in awe, a bolt of energy slung past her audio receptor and struck the door with the hollow sound of a drum. Orange-yellow sparks shot over her face as she watched the two sides battle for supremacy, each putting their very lives on the line for their own beliefs. But where did Windblade fit in all of this? She couldn't help but wonder.

But her friends... They needed help, and any help that she was willing to give then. Windblade slid her hand down her hip to where a holstered firearm would reside, only to find not the hilt of a gun, but the hilt of a sword. As she realized what she was touching, her eyes widened and her wings perked up. But not before another blast from a Vehicon nearly struck her forehead, zinging over her head and causing her to duck off to the side.

Looking down, she drew her blade to gaze upon it. Or what it should have been. It was just a hilt!

"What kind of fraggin' sword is...!" Windblade began, irritated at her disappointing blade.

Twisting, turning it over, tapping it, slapping it, she could only assume that what she held was even a sword to begin with. It had a finger guard, grips and everything! Disappointed, she grabbed hold of it on the finger lines to put it away, when suddenly a bright magenta blade of energy sprung forward from the hilt of her blade. It was nearly as long as she was tall, and its curved, ornate structure reminded her of a flowering plant.

Standing, shocked, she had to gather her thoughts for a moment, careful not to accidentally cut her friends. With her feet and arms moving on their own, and her mind following, she leaped to the door and plunged her Energon blade deep within its metal and began to cut downward, then in a circle.

Her mind catching up to instincts, she looked to Elita and said in a stern tone, "I need a moment."

Several bursts of energy whizzed past. Only Elita-1's battle-sharpened reflexes kept her from being on the receiving end. She'd dodged her share of weapon blasts in her day.

Then out of nowhere, their little rescuee fired up a weapon unlike any that Elita had ever witnessed. It was clearly an energo-sword...of a kind....but clearly far more grand and elaborate than the functional, destructive types that Grimlock and his Dinobots tended to carry. This was like something out of the holotales. But as soon as Windblade slammed it in to the wall, she could see that it was clearly as effective as any other energized sword.

"I need a moment," Windblade said. Elita nodded, turned back to the Decepticon attackers and continued firing.

"We'll get you as many as we can," Elita said as the ship started to violently shake once more.

Corridors

Roulette continued in her position firing towards their foes. Used the chaos of the action in front of her for defense, that and few would be foolish enough to actually stop and aim at someone who was armed with a high powered sniper rifle and was a master using it. Her exceptional aim allowed her to rapidly switch from target to target without becoming too distracted with one. As she fired she caught Windblade's display out of the corner of her optics.

"Way to go Windy!" Roulette yelled encouragement at her as she continued firing. "I want one of those! By the way, anyone got any ideas about opening that door?"

"Apparently only really good 'Bots get those toys," Elita-1 chuckled. "I get one after you once we get outta this scrapheap."

As for Roulette's other question, Elita nodded.

"I think Windblade's making us a door."

Skyquake…” Thunderclash rumbled as he caught sight of his dreaded nemesis. Blast it all. Far be it from him to allow any of the mechs under his watch to be harmed again. Shoving his way to the front of the pack of Autobots, he couldn’t help himself as he charged. He was unarmed. Well, perhaps not completely. He still had his tenacity.

“Don’t think about touching them!” he roared as he brought his fist to bear against the commander of the predators.

For Falcon, a charging Thunderclash, even as injured as he was, was a daunting sight, and gave him the briefest of pauses. Let the commander have his prey. Falcon would stop the Autobots. Taking aim, he sent a volley of missiles at the red femme trying to carve a path out of the ship.

Chromia was busy providing cover for Windblade’s door carving. It was something of a relief if a little surprising that she had something like that tucked away. Just who was this femme anyhow? Well, those ponderings could wait apparently. Staggering as she was jostled aside, Chromia watched with dismay as Thunderclash went and…well…did this thing? Ugh. Any other time but now.

“Slaggit, get back here! You’re wounded!” Chromia snapped before issuing a hefty sigh. It was too late to stop him. Waste of energy to try. Lifting her gun again, she had a new target. The missiles headed squarely in their direction courtesy of one Falcon.

The Nemesis – Corridors outside Hangar Bay

Road Rage held on for dear life as Boss carried her through the corridors of the ship. Their destination was the hangar bay if they could get there without being crushed by the ever evolving vessel. The Nemesis seemed to be going through some kind of transformation or at least part of it was. That seemed crazy but there were few other explanations that made any sense. Still, the changing hallways had destroyed several seekers along the way, making it easier for the Autobots to arrive at the hangar.

However, before they could enter said hangar, the doors slammed shut just as Skyquake as his minions had caught up to them in mid escape. The Predators then quickly opened fire on their former prisoners with no intention of letting them leave alive.

“Oh, frag,” Road Rage muttered as Boss shielded her from the oncoming missiles and laser fire. He took several hits, but kept moving in an attempt to find some sort of cover. Suddenly, an explosion erupted nearby, knocking the former bodyguard out of Boss’s grip. Road Rage hit the floor and rolled over several times as more rockets came her way. She ended up in a fetal position, using her arms to cover herself as much as possible.

There were more explosions nearby, pelting Road Rage with debris and hot shrapnel. It was nothing serious that the crimson femme couldn’t endure. The pain in her knee joint had all but been forgotten as her focus was now on surviving. Her teammates returned fire, giving Road Rage just enough time to seek some cover in a nearby door frame. The door, itself, was locked, but at least she had a tiny bit of cover even though half of her body still stuck out into the corridor.

Boss, you okay?!” Road Rage shouted, not knowing if her personal carrier had been damaged in all of the fire they had taken. Not waiting for a response, the former bodyguard activated her twin magna-bomb launchers and quickly aimed them down the corridor towards the attacking Predators. With her inhibitor claw disabled, she now had access to some of her built-in weapons.

Spotting the one Predator that had proven to be the bane of her recent existence, Road Rage fired several magna-bombs directly at Falcon, hoping to take out the Guerrilla Tactician once and for all.

"Decent," said Boss, "I'm making my way over to you."

Boss attempted transformation, with his limp arm still not functioning right. It just barely became the correct shape for alt mode. He cranked up his wheels and drove over as fast as his tired self could. He transformed again right before flipping, albeit clumsier than normal, towards the red femme.

"Are you alright, Road Rage?" asked Boss as he pulled out his mostly empty firearm and fired off his last few shots towards the opposing Decepticon(s) obviously shooting at this "Windblade". She had a nice sword though, so he didn't worry too much.

Windblade focused deep into her blade, delving it deeper and deeper into the steel, reaching the hilt of her ornate, purple blade. She could feel a burning sensation in the back of her throat, like a needle had been punched through her soft steel plates. But that wasn't of any consequence. Her allies needed her, and perhaps moreso, the door to be open. She took a deep breath, dug in her heels and pressed downward on her blade, slicing the door in a wide arc, leaving molten steel in its wake.

The pain was far greater now, as if the needle was on fire, burning in her mouth as she dug the blade into the door. She curved upward with a great heave, bracing herself as she pushed the blade up the other edge of the door. The circle was almost complete.

Then, a blast from a Vehicon weapon exploded on the ground before her. Bits of metal, fire and plasma screamed their way over her, scorching paint and scratching what was once pristine. Tinnitus began to ring in her ears as the world began to slow to a crawl. Putting her hands to her head, she knelt, completely drowned in shell-shock.

She could only watch as her allies screamed in pain. They were hurt. Some of them badly. She turned from the door to look at her rescuers, watching as they fought for her safety. Her blade still perched in the door, she watched as purple laser blasts slowly screamed by their heads and melted parts of the walls. Time seemed to be slowing down to a crawl, with every sound rumbling, muffled under the ringing of tinnitus in her ears. Some lasers missed; others met their marks. One, in fact, nearly met her on the head, sparking into the door beside her.

This shocked Windblade out of her trance. Blinking, she regained her composure, standing to meet her blade. Gingerly, she grabbed hold of the hilt and began to push with all her might. With a great heave, she yelled as she pushed the blade to where her carving began, then withdrew the blade. The pain in her mouth was throbbing, pulsing like a hot fire. It was like trying to swallow a smoldering coal.

Placing her deactivated blade on her hip, she turned her torso, and with a great thrust of her leg, knocked the circular plate through to the other side, leaving an orange glow on the edges that it once inhabited. The pain stopped.

Grabbing her upper arm in a nervous manner, she turned to Elita.

"Um, sorry for the wait. It's... Done." Windblade remarked innocently before stepping through the gap, turning to make way for the others.

Nemesis -- Corridors

"I'll hold you to that 'Lita!" Roulette replied as she kept shooting. Considering the pressure they were after she was less concerned about numbers of hits. She just wanted to keep as many 'Cons as she could with their heads down.

"Is that what noise is?" Roulette asked as she continued to shoot at their attackers. Being in sniper mode was great for some really awesome shots but terrible for her awareness of what was happening around her.

"It's done? Really? Great!" She replied, hearing Windblade talk to Elita. "Get the others through. I'll give you cover fire."

Nemesis – Corridor outside Hangar Bay

“Are you alright, Road Rage?”

Road Rage smiled as Boss hurried to her side in his alt mode before transforming again in a clumsy flip before settling in next to the crimson femme. “I’m good, Boss,” the former bodyguard replied as she fired more magna-bombs off towards Falcon and the other Predators down the corridor. “My right knee joint still hurts but focusing on the battle at hand keeps my mind off the pain. How’s that arm?”

The red warrior then noticed that the one called Windblade had managed to cut a sizable hole in the hangar door. “Seems we can get into the hangar now. I don’t know who that femme is, but she’s my kind of gal. Okay, help me up here, Boss. We gotta get into the hangar.”

Road Rage then leaned on Boss’s shoulder plate as she pulled herself back to her feet, putting most of her weight on her one good leg. “All right, time to go!” The crimson femme shouted as she fired more magna-bombs at the Decepticons while hopping on her left foot towards the hangar. “You make a good crutch. Did anyone ever tell you that, Boss? Heh.”

Nemesis - Corridors

A rifle shot nicked at Skyquake's head crest as he continued to charge forward. He could feel the sting as it bore through the metal playing protecting his cranial unit. The Autobot whelp will pay dearly for that one, but for now a sense of false bravado seemed to have overcome the Predator commander's long-time rival and Nemesis.

"Don't think about touching them!"

Skyquake caught the soaring fist within the palm of his bronzed gauntlet. Despite Thunderclash's current condition having managed to survive walking out of the Reservoir, the Autobot was able to muster up quite the second wind. A foolish endeavor none the less, for Skyquake was able to repair himself after their scuffle on the surface of the planet and Thunderclash was left tattered and broken.

"Pitiful." The green and black Decepticon spat out as his grip on Thunderclash's fist tightened. "I can't believe you choose to fight as a cripple." Skyquake's free arm rose and delivered a punch at the Turbomaster's already beaten facial features. "You've already embarrassed yourself on the surface, but now-" With lightening reflexes, his immense strength at his command, and in a single fluid motion, Skyquake hoisted the damaged Thunderclash above his own head. "-now its just pathetic!" The bulky Autobot Commander was then lobbed down the corridor in an attempt to knock over or crush any of the Autobots unfortunately caught in the way. What was the old saying? Like shooting sharkticons in a squeeze-crate?

Explosions and returning laser fire still volleyed around the corridor, drawing Skyquake's focus towards the back of the Autobot lines. They managed to break through the hangar bay doors and start slipping through.

"Predators! After them! They cannot escape! Stalker; attempt to seal the Hangars!"

"B-but boss!" The communications began to respond, knowing full well that whatever was happening to the ship was beyond their control at his point.

"JUST DO IT!" Skyquake roared with command as he started to charge down the corridor once more, his hand held rocket launcher helping buy him more distance as he was firing in an increased rate at the remaining Autobots.

-

Nautica knew her sidearm wasn't going to kill any of the Decepticons down the corridor, but dammit she had to try! Firestar came up beside her and extended her hand out towards the engineer.

"Nauty, Give it here! Worry about getting out and getting those claws off, I'll hold them off!"

The violet and gold femme didn't have much time to retort, let alone argue on the matter with Firestar. It was terrible, but in a way she was right. Her skills would be better suited on something else while she left the fighters to cover their escape.

"Ye-yeah, you're right!" Nautica agreed, somewhat begrudgingly before handing the weapon over to her old friend. As Firestar took the weapon, the sight of a massive white and blue object came hurdling their way. What was- wait was that Thunderclash?!

"Look out!!" The engineer cried out, before the Turbomaster came barreling through the group, knocking both her and Firestar backwards and well as any other Autobot unfortunately caught in his unintentional flight path.

Nemesis – Corridors

After what seemed like forever, the hole in the wall was finished. Chromia immediately darted to Boss and Road Rage, pushing them toward it with urgency. “Go! Get in there! We’ll cover you. Injured first.” Sending those two on their way, Chromia leveled her guns at the Predators and tried to fire around Thunderclash when he was seized by Skyquake.

“Oh no,” Chromia whispered softly.

Wincing as the battered and broken Autobot leader was battered some more, her optics went wide as she saw him suddenly flying through the air back at that.

“MOVE!”

But Nautica and Firestar didn’t have the time. They and others were knocked down. They didn’t have time! Her head snapped back around to see that Skyquake was closing the distance and fast. “Firestar, Nautica, get him out of here! I don’t care what he says!” Orders given, she trained her aim on Skyquake and tried to intercept his rockets.

Thunderclash lay in a heap, pain wracking his entire body. His encounter with Skyquake, however brief, had renewed the agony he’d managed to deal with until this point. Despite that, he struggled to rise, but to no avail. He could feel that he was on top of someone. So he did what he could. Which was roll off of them onto an unoccupied part of the floor.

Coughing up energon, Thunderclash struggled to rise. Even if he was just a burden now…he had to avoid adding to the danger that they all faced. He could do this. He had to do this.

- :CON: -

"Predators! After them! They cannot escape! Stalker; attempt to seal the Hangars!"

“Yessir!” came Falcon’s terse reply. Charging alongside his commander, Falcon glowered at the Autobots. His optics landed on Road Rage being helped by one of the Turbomasters. Boss. Oh, what a lovely day! His most recent victim and his long time nemesis in one place. It was almost too good to be true. Lowering his own rocket launcher, he fired off several shots at the pair.

Nemesis – Corridor approaching Hangar

Road Rage continued to hobble on her one good leg down the corridor towards the hole in the hangar door, still utilizing Boss as a living crutch. The former bodyguard then felt Chromia’s firm hand on her back as the blue femme pushed the crimson warrior towards safety.

“Go! Get in there! We’ll cover you. Injured first.”

Road Rage was in no condition to argue. As much as she wanted to help fight the Predators, the red femme knew that she would only end up being a liability with her damaged right knee joint.

”Look out!”

This shout came from the one called Nautica. Road Rage quickly glanced over her shoulder plate to see the large form of Thunderclash come hurling at them. “Frag!” The crimson warrior exclaimed as she shoved Boss towards the other side of the corridor while she, herself, dived in the opposite direction to avoid a direct hit. Regardless, one of the Regional Commander’s arms stuck her in the back, sending Road Rage hard into a nearby wall.

“Ow!” The red femme yelped as she slid down the wall and onto the floor. She looked around, getting her bearings, and realized that she wasn’t far from the hole in the door now, which was only a few feet away. Road Rage could easily make it through hopping on only one foot. Unfortunately for her, that wasn’t her only problem.

An explosion went off a few yards to one side as Road Rage came under attack from none other than Falcon. That slagger! The former bodyguard fired off more magna-bombs at the guerrilla tactician as she struggled back to her feet, keeping her weight focused on her good left leg.

Road Rage wanted to help Thunderclash, but realized that she was in no position to do so. Instead, the crimson femme hopped as fast as she could towards the hole in the door as another explosion erupted right behind her, scorching her back armored plating and propelling the former bodyguard directly through the opening and into the hangar bay beyond.
