Now if someone wants to figure out a solution to the spoiler/trailer connection issue that doesn't require sanding down parts, I'm all ears! Can't say I was too fond of the look of Peaugh's trailer post-sanding in his review. As I feared when looking at mine, it is/would be pretty noticeable. Maybe if you only sanded down the top of the slot...I dunno. But so far my plan is to wait for the Hasbro version and f**k that one up...or better yet, hope the spoiler isn't painted!

robofreak wrote:What's all this about issues with the trailer connection? I don't own the figure and I won't have it anytime soon. You made it sound like the yellow spoiler on Hot Rod is actually painted and not casted in yellow. If so, then why on earth would they do that? It seems rather ridiculous that Takara would knowingly release something with obvious amounts areas for massive paint wear.

There was an attempt and it didn't happen, but I'd still be somewhat interested. Only somewhat, though, because I haven't even bothered with MP Magnus since without the armor, there's just not much point. There is a guys that was doing them custom, though, that looked decent, but I believe the price was rather crazy.

I seriously doubt this would save any money as a 3rd party armor trailer would be expensive on it's own. Seeing as though Fansproject's Protector armor is $80 and that fits a deluxe figure. That plus Hasbro's Hotrod would probably be the same price as Takara Rodimus Prime or more.
