Being lucky that Ontario Wal-marts were dumb, I nabbed Grimlock and Optimus earlier this month. I haven't had much time to work on Grimlock due to family emergency that for obvious reasons are more important, so here is my work in progress. Part of the problem is the clear yellow I use for the gold, it's far too watered down and I need a new one. Just no time to go to store to get the paint.






I am actually working on the dino neck to try to move things around cause I dislike that back piece that hides his robot head, I don't like where it goes and would rather the lower jaw be on his back than his butt. Still working on that. Also not finished adding a glow to the beast/bot eyes




Another thing I did was remove the biting jaw gimmick. I found a pin long enough to fit in the jaw and thick enough to make the beast jaw articulated rather than that lame biting thing. Now, not a fan of that tail attachment/weapon so I haven't touched that yet...or really care to.

That's all for now. Still a bit more to go, but can't get the paint I need just yet. Still dealing with family things so Grimlock will have to wait.

So glad you posted it in customs too, great to see all the pictures of this excellent repaint!
