Do you collect other toys besides Transformers? Maybe you've got a Masters of the Universe collection you'd like to show off, or maybe you like Thundercats, Voltron, G.I.Joe, Power Rangers, Star Wars, Wrestling, or any of the various comic book toy lines. Please keep the discussions here to non-Transformers toy lines.

I've stumbled upon these suckers on HLJ and I want some!
http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljlist?rel=nav&GenreCode=Sci&MacroType=InjKit&Scale=72&DisplayMode=images&Dis=2&Sort=std&qid=MAJSFCNXADTL&set=1&SeriesID2=105They just look freaking massive and badass, particularly this one:
The reason I'm resisting blowing the last of my birthday money on these is because A: They're pricy, B: They're no comparison shots with figures I know the size of, C: I don't know how reliable HLJ is.
If any of you happen to own these figures or have seen them in this size class, could you post up some photos with some TFs or other similar sized toys and tell me how HLJ works, it looks reliable, but I don't want to get ripped off price-wise (also, do you actually need PayPal to buy from them?).

HLJ is VERY reliable, been dealing with them for years. Think you do need Paypal (may be wrong on that)
As for scale ... can't quite help you there, BUT ... I have used Armored Core weapons for many of my TF customs so that might help.

I don't have any of my old AC kits handy ATM, but the 1/72 scale models of pre-gen 5 Cores stand somewhere around the average voyager TF scale, if I recall correctly. I don't own any gen 5 Armored core kits, but I do know that they were reduced in size from previous generations, so that should be reflected in the same model scale.

It's FunPub. It's their specialty.

don't take that to mean I'm a killjoy just because I can be, though...

Pre-gen 5? Sorry, I've never seen the series or seen any of these models before, I could use an expert.

I wouldn't say I'm an expert, I've only really played the series off and on from 3 onward, and haven't even touched 5 or Verdict Day. If you really like the look of the models then there's really nothing I think I can say to add or detract from that. As for the Prices, I guess they're alright. I am noticing that, aside from white glint, the gen 5 core models are the more expensive ones, probably because they come with more equipment.
