Well you're no minicon collector are ya'?

Just kidding. I do like the mini=cons, well the ones from Armada/Micron Legend, when they really served a purpose.

I have that Dark Saber, got it along with Rampage like you did. Bumble (Arcee?), I will get when I find a reasonable person to sell me their Magna Convoy Set (like you did). :P

I'll share some pictures of rare and/or interesting Mini-Cons soon.

I've just started by minicon binge last year so I've a lot of catch-up. Thank you CP for not posting this thread until AFTER botcon. I spent a lot on minicons there as it was, I didn't need competition. Here's what I've found in my hunt for minicons in the past year:

Fire Saber - $30-$50 price is about right but I've never seen one on ebay and ended up coughing up $45 for a set at Botcon. It was first day and I didn't want to risk dealing down for it again.

CD Blue Star Saber - $25, that's the price I got mine for. Website I ordered it from is out. One went on ebay for $15 last week. Price seems kinda low since the set was limited to 2000 but then again there are 8-10 different saber sets out there so it's saturated.

Cybertron Requiem Blaster - one guy was selling a two-pack a botcon for $35. Too much for me. I've seen them twice on ebay go for about $100-$150 mixed in with other minicons. Hell of a deal but since I had 85% of the minicons in the lots already I passed. I also found it hilarious that funpub was passing them out to kids to play with at Botcon. They were all in pieces and I was too busy watching the kids to see if I could piece together a complete set. =)

On another note, any of you minicon-experts knows where to get the clear Sonar from the star saber? Was it part of ver0?

P.S. I could go on a rant about how certain mini-cons are even cooler then CP has indicated but since I haven't completed my hunt for them yet and I don't want the competition, I won't. =)

Wow, that's impressive.

Could you perhaps make a pic for me:

I believe you have Costco Prime and Overload.. so combine it with Jetfire, and have those two swords I named previously.. yah, that would rock.

No can do right now.

Costco Prime is packed away deep in storage case number 5 (we're packing to move).

I could do other pics of the swords...

I used to own lots of mini-cons, but I lost track of so many during various moves in the past two years, that I can only keep up with my recent purchases.

X-Dimension Bumble
Clear Dark Star Sabre
First Emergency Team
Skyboom Sheild (Red repaint)

I may get more, but X-dimension sets will be my next move.

I had the air assault team from there, and yes I lost it.

X-Dimension Bumble is my second japanese set.

I do have a guy that has some of the Micron Legend giftsets for dirt cheap.

So he'll see me in a month. It's like getting a deluxe class with 4 minicons to boot. So be on the look out for those as well.

List of Micron Legend Giftsets:

ML Thrust has the air assualt team.
ML Grap (Smokescreen) has the skyboom sheild team
ML Ironhide (Demolisher) has Land Military Team
ML Sandstorm (Cyclonus) has Destruction mini con team
ML Hot Rod w/light-up fist (hot shot) with Star Sabre
ML Silevrbolt (Blurr) with Street action team
ML Grap Super mode (Hoist) with Adventure Mini-con team
Ml Rampage (Wheeljack) with Dark Sabre team

At the time I got the ML Rampage giftset, he was $19.99 + $7 to ship off of ebay. I was looking for Armada Wheeljack when I came across him. Surprisingly, no one bidded on him. I didn't think the seller would send it to me, but I got it. The set is easily worth $50 or more. I have had offeres for mine for $70 or more, but I love the paint job, and the actual dark sabre that was in the Armada catolouges.

Also, from time to time these giftsets get cheap. I seen them on eaby for as much as the Armada toys, which are going up for MIB stuff. I had found Hot Rod gift set go for $20 and $25 at times, and remember, he has a light up fist not found in any of the Armada counterparts.

It's alway depending on how much you want something. For some collectors money ain't a issue because their mommy buys toys for them, while for other people time is more precious than money, so that you'll pay more just to get what you need, fast and safely.

That and the clear version of Radrogue...

Yoo hoo, megadave, you out there?

Anyway, I love looking at other peoples minicon collections. So please post your pictures! Then I know which ones I still have left to find.

My most difficult one to track down is the Cybertron requium blaster believe it or not.

Does everyone keep their minicons in boxes or are they displayed? It is amazing how much room hundreds of these little guys can take up.

I have to figure out my display for them as well.

Someone suggested one of those trophy golfball display cases, but I fear it would be huge^2.

I fully intend to play match maker though...

Since I own both the entire Armada and Cybertron lines (and ALL of Energon lol! [not in reference to the quoted poster, go to the next BotCon if you want in on inside jokes...sheesh.]) I plan on matching up each of the figures from those lines with a Mini-Con partner if they have an attachment port.

So, all those lil guys are likely going to get partnered up somewhere.

Once they were all displayed, now I had to put lots of thing in storage, like all the Micron Legend stuff and such. I love to match a bigger 'bot to an exclusive team, like Cybertron Menasor with Ultimate Military Team or Cybertron Quickmix with the CYbertron Dstruction Team... in these cases it's real serendipity, while other teams, like the Megalo Team, are intended for this. Oh, and also Universe Snowcat with the X-Dimension Emergency Team!!
My X-Dimension teams were really nice when displayed, but dust became a real problem. Now I have displayed only my 6 Magna Jet Convoy, my 4 Vector Prime versions and all Armada Decepticon variations, autobots and most minicon are in storage... posed, but in storage, unluckily.
Anyway, if you need infos about which minicons you still need, I AM the checklist :D
Oh, by the way, does anybody have a Dragoyell to sell me? :D

I'd take pics of these rare mini-cons tonight, but it seems my man Rikkomba has already done so...a year ago.

Which Star Saber version has the clear Sonar? Thanks to Botcon and my now-in-pain-wallet all I'm missing to complete the 10 saber teams are the Kabaya Microns (hopefully shipping), Cybertron Ramjet (I REFUSE to pay $30 for one), and whichever one has the clear sonar (far left in the pic). Not bothering to look for the 11th or 12th one since ver0 wasn't that different from the normal one and you guys say the stormsword wasn't ever licensenced by hasbro (plus almost impossible to get one, let alone a complete set since one was shortpacked)

It is interesting that you pair up minicons with figures. I have like six Armada Starscreams (and variants) that hold my star sabres, my megatrons hold reqiem blasters, I have so many shields I don't know what to do with them. But I have a whole curio devoted to Armada and another to hold minicons, and other TF's. One can never have too many Starscreams.

Here is a pic of my pink jets, sorry the pic is not too good. Someday I will get a blue minicon symbol to take the pics on.
Image

Next are the three minicons that cost me the most about $450, they arrived while I was at Botcon, the one on the right matched pretty well with them. I found him at Botcon and this mold is my favorite mold. My favorite all time minicon is Rotor - the green one in my sig with his backpack open so he can sit on his butt.

Actually, I believe that's a KO.

Could be wrong...but I don't have anything nor have I talked to anyone with that figure. There are (or were) a bunch of Star Saber KOs...

I've seen pictures of the KO sabers and they look pretty cheap. In the picture this one looks legit (right?). Plus, if you dig through all of his galleries he doesn't have any other KO's. Too weird. Nobody else seems to have hear about it either.

I'll just call it a KO to ease my mind until I learn more.

Here's a partial answer...

It's either a KO, or it's the Saber included with Hot Shot MS-01 giftset.

I can NOT find a picture of this set for the life of me, but if the Sonar in that set, is not the one you're looking for, then the one you're looking for is a KO.

Dragoyell is a blue and white repaint of the Clear Skies Team dragon mold.

2000 of them were made and distributed as part of a mail away campaign.

He's difficult to find for no particularly good reason, especially considering his high production numbers for a mini con.
