does anyone know of any Combiner wars add-ons that are coming soon or in any form of design phase. Just seems to be the only things that are coming up and pulling any news these days are PWTT stuff, Appolyon, and Warbotron. It might be me or is there just a lack of 3rd party stuff going on?

I honestly thought 3rd party guys would be jumping in to make add-ons for the Combiner Wars but the only one is PE and they haven't had any news for ages?

Weapon: Twin Sonic Cannons
Perfect Effect has announced a set of black or purple hands and feet which look pretty cool, also a new Superion head.

I saw that superion head replacement by them isn't it interchangeable? Like between Faceplate and no faceplate?

I really thought someone would be flashing off some more new weapons for the Stunticons or some heads and other extra bits but it seems like nothing is on their radar apart from MP stuff.

Or am I just being too impatient?

Also Bold Forms is creating a Leader class replacement Motormaster for the CW Menasor toy.
Think BF Motormaster is going to be coming with some gestalt fist and hands that CW Menasor can use.

Think BF has plans to plans to create all Five Stunticons. Each Stunticon might be able to combine with CW Menasor.

Think the Weapons that come with each BF Stunticon. Might be able to get used for the CW Stunticons and CW Menasor.

I saw that one as well but if what you are saying is true to get some weapons for your CW Stunticons you have to by another set of 3rd party Stunticons. The BF Motormaster looks cool but is probably going to cost too much for me. And even if I did buy it I don't think I would buy more Stunticons to go with it.

I guess if anyone else is interested in some add-ons we will just have to wait it out or order some off Shapeways

That Motormaster isn't really meant to be a replacement for CW Motormaster, it was announced waaaaaaaaaaay before CW was and is supposed to be the start of a G1 ish Meanesaur. It was originally going to have the PCC ports, but has since been updated to have the newer better CW ports.

There is also Belzebooz's Slingshot, unless that's now been cancelled due to the leaked listings.

But yeah, there isn't much out or announced yet, but I wouldn't be too distraught over that. It used to take well over a year for upgrades to show up for stuff. I'm sure something will show up though. I'm guessing more hands and feet, maybe even conversion kits to replace the new team members with more traditional looking ones.

I did hear something about a possible Deluxe sized Groove, but don't quote me on that.

Its too early imo for an abundance of upgrades . two combiners down and PE have covered all of Superion with new hands/feet chest/head (they did the head/chest upgrade right?) and hands/feet for Menasor .

On e-bay I had bought a set of hard plastic replacement antenna for Superion that matches the plastic perfect. Perfect Effect has the hideous hands and feet covered. Now all we need is a slingshot to replace the imposter. I want to see some stuff for Menasor hopefully. We need a new Menasor head with proper antenna instead of those stupid texas bull horns. Also the concept of "sword guns" is the cheapest stupidest excuse for a weapon ever dreamed up by Hasbro. How is it that Arcee can get 2 guns and 2 swords but all Dead End gets is a tailpipe bat that blows literally ?

Now that you mention it I do remember BF showing prototypes and teasers ages ago.

I guess with all this Combiner Wars excitement over the past few months has got me thinking that the 3rd parties would follow suit and start teasing some new products. I'm probably just being impatient and have gotten used to having Hasbro showing us something new every few weeks.

I think at the moment PE seems to be giving all the love to Superion with the hands, feet, chest/head/crotch (which in my opinion he doesn't need a new head or chest). Hopefully Menasor gets some thing nice soon.

I got to agree with X on the Hasbro melee weapons. All the Aerialbots got nice looking blasters. Some people like the whole gang vibe for the Stunticons but I think could have been done better instead of sword guns.

thanks so much for the tip about those antennae- the soft rubber ones have been baneful to me, and I just bought a set myself- can't wait to swap those out-I had been scoping one on shapreways, but the last time I did shapeways, delivery was like molasses in january, and one product was a little too ambitious for the materials they were printed in(and broke)

Months ago, CW Slingshot and Wildride both showed up in TRU USA computers with DCPI codes. So these Two might be TRU store exclusives.

Rumors that I've seen state CW slingshot and CW Wildride are TRU store exclusives that will get released in either the 3rd, 4th quarter of 2015 or 1st quarter of 2016.

I don't believe the current rumors from this week by some fans who claim CW Slingshot and CW Wildride were cancelled by Hasbro.

Think Hasbro is well aware of the US fans wanting request for CW Wildride and CW Slingshot. Think in the worse case scenario if TRU doesn't want to sell them separately. Hasbro USA will sell Wildride and Slingshot in Five pack combiner gift sets boxes. Or ask BBTS and Amazon to sell Slingshot and Wildride separately as shared sites exclusives.

Guessing fans at Botcon 2015 will ask Hasbro this. Any plans to release CW Slingshot and Wildride in the US question.

I'm sure he'll come out eventually, but I'm taking no chances. I've got the Takara box set of all five (with Slingshot, but no Alpha Bravo) on pre-order. It's surprisingly not much more expensive: $125 for the Takara version vs. aprox. $95 for the Hasbro version (at $16 x 4 + $25 + tax). Only $6 more per figure is a pretty good price difference for import versions! I paid more then that extra for a Takara Arcee! And this way, I get the five that I want all in one shot, I get slightly nicer decos, and I don't have to worry about hunting down Slingshot when and if he shows up as a TRU exclusive.

In case anyone is wondering why the Takara TF toy prices are so low this year. It's due to the Dollar being stronger and the Yen being weaker. Due to the USA economy buncing back and doing great. While Japan's economy right now is not that great.

That Superion does look pretty awesome. I am looking forward to Takara showing their color scheme for the Stunticons.

Oh and someone on Shape ways has their version of a G1 style gun and a sword for Motormaster/Menasor

http://www.shapeways.com/product/EQN3VQ ... d=56091106

The sword looks good but the gun's barrel looks a bit thin.

Just saw these on TFW2005. Kinda cool. I would consider a pair to attach Wingsaber to CW Prime, but the lack of knee articulation just ruins it for me. Being able to attach the Energon Combiner limbs is kinda neat though.

I fail to see the point in those. Who would want to do that anyway? All the examples look utterly stupid. Why connect Energon combiners on them, they're far too small.

I've seen a lot of complaints about Optimus Prime's (and Menasor's) hip articulation. And even only having experienced the mold so far as a stand alone figure as I don't yet own any limb bots, I will agree that the ratchets could use more stopping points. So perhaps this might be of interest?

This is a direct replacement for your Combiner Wars Menasor or Optimus Prime. These replace the current ratchet gears in their hips with double the amount of ratchet points. Leading to better poseability and more options for display.

To install you need to only remove the screws on the figures hips and swap out the pieces.

I've got a pair on order. They are supposed to ship at some point in April. I'll report back on the results once I have them in hand.

Think these connectors might have looked a bit better. If they weren't colored in that neon yellow. Perhaps a more neutral color like grey.

Every single one of those combinations look like you're begging to be put down.

They provide options. They don't look great, but they exist.

What options though? Aren't the actual CW compatible figures enough? So now you have the option of having a CW torso with gimpy out of place looking arms and legs, that require the torso bot to be mistransformed to the point of looking even worse. Or sticking with only CW figures.
I'm all for options, but this, this is stupid. You can't even mix and match with these, because the Energon limbs are smaller than the CW ones.
