Ok with Metroplex coming out (who I possibly can afford) I started looking at G1 Trypticon as an option to display with him. I soon realised that a Trypticon in decent condition was worth far more than I had

So I got distracted then spotted an ebay auction for a converted Zoids kit the guy was looking for £200, however I spotted the same unbuilt Zoid kit in the auction below for a fraction of the price...

Kit was bought, arrived without instructions luckily there was still an archive of 10 year old intructions on the internetz so the process of construction could begin

model was painted on the sprue using citadel black, tamyia purple, an sky blue then protected with citadel purity seal.

any damage to the paint when cutting from sprue was corrected with airbrush later.

so for about £50 spent here are the results of my effort, as usual any comments or advice welcomed.

That looks beautiful. While the base toy looks a little on the SD side (super-deformed aka "cutefied") the paint job is spot on, and he's got all the trappings of a proper Trypticon.

BTW, I weep at the sight of your PS3 laying in the dust, friend. Does it still work?

It has not been used much since I completed Fall of Cybertron
